New Classifieds boards & Rules.

I've moved the classifieds boards to their own category & created separate boards for each type of ad. Myself & the moderators will be moving current threads to the new boards.

We have recently had quite a few new members appear to have joined the forum, mainly to sell/trade in the forum Classifieds. We have therefore, sadly, taken the decision to impose a minimum post count of 50, before new members are able to start threads in The "For Sale" & "For Trade" Boards. Any threads created by new members prior to this new rule, will remain in situ, however, their post count will be reduced by the numbers of posts they have made in the classies for sales.

Any new members that excessively post on games threads etc &/or spam the forum to try to quickly raise their post count, will have those posts removed.

Yes they can. The only things they can no longer do is start threads in the For Sale or For Trade boards.

I think this is sensible. Is 50 posts the correct gate or should it be 50 posts and, say, a fortnight after registering?

Unfortunately, I can't find a way to apply a minimum time exclusion within the forum software.
