Lots of entertainment on this thread... cracking stuff. I guess sooner of later somebody will find that ridiculous video of the bloke dry-burning the original BVC heads (to a carbon crisp) and then saying 1) how wonderful they were and 2) how clever he was. The man clearly had no taste buds at all after 20 years of John Player Special. Like I said, you can refresh partly-used coils. Bringing back a caked-on-black-gunk coil would require more than a bit of water and a prayer. I wouldn't know about TC, but that's an interesting comment from VapingBadWith Silica, you could do almost anything. With cotton wool... N'ah, don't see it happening.

Nope. I don't wash them. I power through until the old flavor is gone or I bin them.
In the past I used to and they were never as good afterwards or would die shortly after.

Always wash my TCT-N2 coils. Without cleaning the coils can last 3-6 weeks (depending on the juice). With cleaning almost double.
1. Soak in boiling water for 30 mins. 2. Allow to cool slightly and blow any excess juice / water out. 3. Scrub the inside with a interdental brush. 4. Soak in fresh boiling water for 30 mins. 5. Allow to cool slight and blow excess water out. 6. Dry on the radiator over night.
Maybe I should stop being a tight bugger...

i have rinsed and used an ultrasound bath with kanger ni200 occ coil heads and the ni200 tfv4 coils between flavours quite a few times now and even turbo dried the wicks with a tc mod set at a low 140-150C but standing in a warm spot for a day or so works better imho.. with an rba and kanthal its easier to rewick after rinsing under a running tap with a drain guard in place and a paper towelling

I regularly rinse my Naturevape coils before wicking.. never had an issue.
I occasionally soak in some isopropyl alcohol and then rinse/dry.

I have to say that I am an out and out Genisis user right from the start. I regularly knock off the gunk on vertical coils about once every two weeks then re-flame in situ. The longest usable coil I have managed is three months on a G-Bell V2 Atty. Could have been longer but I missed setting up a new coil :-)))))

Forgot to add I use a soft wire Dremel brush to gently rub the gunk off coil. Works a treat!

Have n't had to use this for a while tho' as thanks to Geordie-vaper, I've now got 8x Origen drippers so I can 'rotate'. After a dry-burn, & blow-torch/gas hob of the wicks, I soak the coils (on the dripper) in cider vinegar & s. bicarb.

Thanks for the replies.
I was just looking at a few YouTube vids on this particular tank as I'm new to them. Came across a video which showed how to clean all parts of the tank to get rid of gunk, the guy was washing the coils as well. So was just wondering if it was just some random talking rubbish or whether people actually washed the coils.
I don't own an ultrasonic cleaner, so was just going to clean them with hot water and maybe use a hairdryer to dry them. I just remember doing the same with the old style atties.

Here is a dual coil vaped dry on a DNA200 at 50 W preheat on max, then rinsed under the tap and dried on the DNA at the same settings in under a minute, the photos were far more time consuming than cleaning and drying the coil, vaping it as I post.

Thanks perpy. Yeah I remember them being a bit hit or miss. We didn't know any difference back then lol. I'll check out the link. Although just ordered another batch from FT. What is the Gift Certificate? Not noticed it. After saying that I rarely take much notice of anything lol.

If you're ordering the genuine/authentic Aspire Nautilus coils then you'll need to order something to the value of the order, cancel it and then use the Gift Certificate number to pay for them Hissie . . . . . due to the agreement FT have with Aspire, or some such.
