If you don't need > 30 W, someone recently posted an offer on HCigar VT40, the SBody Macro is really small for an 18650 (Dan had one at the LSE meet), but probably over budget. You still have a good chance of picking up a VaporShark in the classis and there have been a couple of EVic minis lately. E: the VT40 offer has ended it was here allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/59799/hcigar-vt-40-silver-quid

To be honest, my mind has changed from the VS for various reasons but I still like the smallness of it lol Dan did indeed slow me the macro, it was tiny but you are very correct, totally out of budget right now. I shall keep a look out but if not just get the Evic, Mr M has taken a shine to it too lol one sec Jon, let me link the dna 30 for your opinion

Hellfire! I just got bored, went upstairs and vaped unflavoured 12mg in a subtank (RBA) on a Nemesis. I know how to party. Sod all this TPD lark.... batten down the hatches. When (if) my posh kit gives up and temp control stuff is a past fantasy, I'm going native. A mech never dies..... Hurry up Postie...

A lot bigger than you want and the electronics vary in quality so it is always a risk with the clones IMO.

I would suggest you get the eVic mini MrsmacI have two, one each for me and my wife (I have an older Mk1 one too). She has no idea what temp control is yet, but uses it every day anyhow. The only problem I have found with them is that the 510 connecter wobbles with some tanks. If you ever wish to try TC, that works well too. The paint finish from eVic is superior to any mod I have owned, and I have quite a few.

Thanks for a the responses guys, I have some more research and thinking to do but for now I am leaning towards getting the Evic even if I wont use all the features. I think the ipv d2 is more or less out the running and I'll look into the hcigar offerings especially the £25 one

I have both Evic mini (x2) and an ipv D2.
I use the D2 as my walk the dog/drive to work/ work break TC daily vape in titanium mode, I don't use one mod all day but a samsung 30Q lasts 2-1/2 > 3 days at 25j/220C. No voltage stepdown in power mode is a bit of a surprise first time round but the cure is to use Ti at max temp and its fine. Two issues, no common micro usb charging port and the screen is poor compared to the Evic.
The Evics are dinky little mods, lighter than the D2 and with a really great screen. I thought wow and bought two on preorder £20 each and one for £22 But I've already returned one due to TC that doesn't work as it should and a crap 510. The other two are tempermental and read the base resistances wrongly which means they can be 30-50 degrees out on TC settings. I use them for kanthal only as the TC is shockingly unreliable even with the V2 update. I prefer the Istick 40w TC over these even if it isn't power adjustable in TC mode.
V2 update?? Why throw more power at the user if its still limited by both firmwear and battery. Pigs ears and silk purses. In my opinion it does nothing to solve the false resistance and temperature readings. One thing that got me is that TC power is only adjustable by entering the menu (upwards only >75 and back again to 0 no stepping back) whilst the temperature is, means that you can't set one temp and adjust the watts in use. hmmm...nah!
Battery use at the lower end; I get a day from a battery using a subtank rba with 0.5ohm coil , at the upper end of power; today I got 170 seconds from a fresh 25R vaping a pair of nichrome claptons at 15A/55w/0.25 ohms before I gave in to the ramp up time.
With hindsight I should have bought another D2 whilst the price was right (£26) and ignored the primary Evic reviews.

Both great mods, own them both and you'll be happy with either or but my vote is evic mini. Wouldn't go clone now days with many great authentic £30 mods around. Clone for panadora, melody mods etc yea, that's because they're £300+ and aimed more for the enthusiast, not for everyday value for money.

FWIW Trina I've got both too, the D2 is my everyday work mod, the paint's coming off it like there's no tomorrow! Having said that it does do what I want it for. The Evic mini is as yet unwrapped and heading for my daughters Christmas stocking.

I've recently acquired an Evic VTC (from Efun top). So far only used it it power mode, but very happy. Seems well constructed. FWIW Trina I've got both too, the D2 is my everyday work mod, the paint's coming off it like there's no tomorrow! Having said that it does do what I want it for. The Evic mini is as yet unwrapped and heading for my daughters Christmas stocking. I recommend making sure that you remove your daughter's leg from the stocking first! (PS Lucky daughter, it's a nice wee mod )

If you forgot battery or charger, Evic have USB, and everyone have couple in home.

Anyone tried this? myepack.co.uk/review/product/list/id/2717/category/20/I really like the battery cover as I love to read And BTW what is this "step down" about? I have the D2 and I use it with K1 and Nautilus mini 1,6-1,8Ω around 10-13,5W I just ordered a Lemo drop as my first intent to build my own coil and I would like to use it on the same ohm level
