I think it's both with a slight more importance to the tank - but a coil needs to be goo too - imho

If it's flooding or you are getting a dry hit it's all the same in the wash

Neither tank nor coil, its the juice that makes a good vape. Everything else is just fine tuning...

All you need to do is find tank/dripper you like, and learn what it's capabilities are. None of them are "bad" (unless they leak), and none of them are *the best* (that's about preference). If you like the tank/dripper, and it works with the way you wick/coil it, it's perfect.

I think it's not one element but the combo you use, I use a 2mm dual twisted in my bellus, 3mm dual parallel in my big dripper and a 3mm dual Clapton in my troll, and find those the best set up for said bits of kit. However on the troll if I use the wide drip tip I have to cut the air flow. I think any rebuildable can be good if you put the right set up in it, I've not had a bad rebuildable yet but I thing a tank it's pot luck if it's right for you and that's the big thing it's getting the set up right for you

A good coil and wick can make an 'OK' tank better But a good tank - chamber size, build deck etc - can make even a bad build vape well. I used to think it didn't matter too much - then i got a RSM Rocket at Vapefest 2013 - and that is still the best tank for flavour production i've used - even with the genesis ss wick! The way it was designed was absolutely spot on. I could take the build out, pop it in a different tank, and it was just OK. Having said that, i go by ' Shape of the Vape' - which is a combination, of flavour, vapour production, temperature and 'texture', so is a combination of, coil, tank, and juice.

Definitely both need to complement each other for your level of satisfaction. My favourite tank right now is the OBS crius with 2.5ID 9wraps 24 gauge 317L ss coils at 400F and 40/50w. Obviously we all have different styles and satisfaction levels but that's mine
