Something I've never been troubled with happily calzone even with VG heavy eliquid, possibly because I don't try and nuke the heck out of any coils by pushing too much power through them. Start low and work up is what I've always done . . . . . .

It was earlier on my break i was getting them with my isub g on an mvp 3 pro at 28.5w,i can usually hit away quite happily with no problems but it was my 1st time using 100percent vg and i was chain vaping big hits (stress relief ) Perpetua does the amount of vg affect the likeliness of a dry hit? Im just getting the swing of this subohming deal

Perpetua does the amount of vg affect the likeliness of a dry hit? It can calzone . . . . though I'm a huge fan of the iSub G myself, but find 20.5w plenty adequate for me and no dry hits ever with VG heavy eliquid at that wattage. Turn the MVP down I'd suggest.

Thanks Perpetua! Im usually 70/30 vg/pg through and through and set the wattage that high cus i find the vulture punch my mrs got me for chrimbo tastes immense at that level, it didnt even cross my mind to turn down the juice a bit as its beem unchanged for near on a week, just took a couple of blasts same as i was earlier but set to 21.5w and viola, nice big tasty unburnt clouds

100% VG will be a thicker liquid which will always be a bit more of a struggle for your wicks. Especially when chain vaping.

Quite often the max vg liquids will state that they are more suited to dripping due the the viscosity of the liquid, if you want to sub ohm at high power you could also try a few drops of distilled water just to loosen it up a bit, sub ohming is a bit of a beast, your wicking needs to be spot on as the coil will dry out your wick very quickly if it's not wicking correctly

Vodka calzone is the answer......no seriously I use 5-10% vodka to thin the VG so no dry hits, lots of people do and you don't actually take up the alcohol when vaping.

Or you could use aqueous VG which has distilled water mixed in.

The key to not getting dry hits when using pre-built is to KNOW the ability of your equipment - you're never going to be able to vape VG heavy juice at 50W using a EVOD without it tasting like burnt cotton in milliseconds. The key with re-buildables is HAVING the ability to build to the required specifications, boring i know but true.
