Can you be allergic to just one particular juice? I've read about people being allergic to VG or PG but not sure what the symptoms are? Since I've been vaping a particular juice this week, one that I really like, I've been having some weirdness. The tops of my arms and neck are itchy and my face comes out all sort of red and blotchy and my skin feels very hot and tight! Anyone had anything similar happen? I hope it's not the juice as I really liked this one, it was going to be a keeper I've got another one to try from the same range and a bit wary of trying it now

Could be an element in a certain flavouring Karma . . . or it could still be a PG or VG allergy . . . I didn't become allergic to PG until after 18months of vaping . . . it wasn't an immediate thing. Think you'll need to do a process of elimination?

Try a different make of juice Karma and see if your skin improves.

What were you're symptoms Perps?
I can feel my face returning to normal since I've prised my LT out of my mouth with the suspect juice!

Try a different make of juice Karma and see if your skin improves. I think thats a good idea to try but like Perpy says it can come on anytime. Are you or have you had anything different besides the juice?

Anne, I generally vape 3 - 4 different flavours a day! This has been happening in the evenings but it started up again just before. I started on the suspect juice earlier today, it's usually my bed-time vape

What were you're symptoms Perps? Itchy red rash Karma, on face and in my hair . . . some days I could scratch my face off, even with taking antihistamines . . . VG makes me chesty and PEG just tastes of chemicals to me. Bit of a pest, but not to worry.

There is only a dribble of the suspect juice left so I think I'll bin it. I'll wait until my overall health is better before I try the other one from the same maker. I have been known to have weird rections to things when i'm not quite 'right' lol! Typical though, why could I not have a reaction to some of the more foul juices I have? Oh well, looks like Jason is still my favourite juice vendor Crikey Perps, you really are a committed vaper do you find you get on better with your own mixes?

Crikey Perps, you really are a committed vaper do you find you get on better with your own mixes? There's no way I'm going back to ciggies Karma, even if I end up having to wear a full face mask. And yes, I do get on better with my own mixes as a 70/30 or 80/20 keeps all the symptoms bearable with antihistamines. I did wonder if your reaction could be due to the increase in your meds?

No Perps, only increased my meds yesterday. this has been happening all week When my thyroid levels have been off in the past though, I've had strange skin irrations. But this just comes on all of a sudden ??? I think it may be that juice but it was so nice When you say you mix 70/30 or 80/20 what are you mixing? 70 Pg 30 Vg?

Yes, that it Karma 70% PG/30% VG . . . the itchy red rash is the lesser of the two evils.

I'm just beginning to wonder if a rash/blotches I have on my chest is an allergic reaction to juices? It came all of a sudden a few weeks ago after a night out, which I noticed the following morning. I wear a St Christopher and the rash appeared underneath where it sits. I initially thought I had suddenly(?) become allergic to gold, but I removed the chain and the rash remained.
I really can't place which juice would be the culprit as I've tried so many just lately, and like the majority of them?!?!
The rash isn't particularly bothering me - it itches occasionally, but I can put up with it.....if I left it would there be any long-term issues?

Giz, this isn't just a rash, it's very uncomfortable when it happens. My face looks blotchy but apparently it doesn't look swelled up, so Mr Karma says, it feels swelled though, like my skin is too tight? This comes on so suddenly, then goes nearly as quickly! Good news, it's totally gone now, so I've chucked the small remainder of that juice in the bin........... pity, it tasted fab I think the long term issues with allergies is either they go away on their own when the body adapts or they get worse. Have you tried taking an anti-histamine? If that works, then it indicates that it is an allergy. I've not tried that as when I stop vaping that juice it starts to go on it's own + I have to be very careful what OTC meds I take.

Not tried anti-H's. I have never suffered an allergy before - I thought anti-H's were primarily for hayfever sufferers only? If this is an allergic reaction to juice would an anti-H sort it out?
Didn't realise yours is so bad - at least it was tracked and sorted, and hey - there are so many juices out there I'm sure you'll find a replacement! (What juice was it)
