I'm sure John wont mind, he's nice guy. As for main part, to my mind theres going to be appeals after appeals, and today our great goverment announced that the ref may go ahead in June, so if we pull out it dont matter anyway. With the feeling I get the votes going to go for leaving, I will not give my opinion as all my business is importing from the EU, bit undecided until I see how it affects my vaping funds MP

In terms of the UK it will depend on what our government do. It is our legislation that we will have to follow rather than TPD. So if the EU give a 6 month delay it will be up to Dear Dave to follow suit.

not saying I am not happy about any delay, but imagine if this was a e juice company asking for a delay due to having to buy new technology, pissing tobacco industry snap there fingers and these tosser in there ivory tower buckle to there needs.

They may have asked, but not sure it has been agreed yet. No doubt will, but I think you are right. Big money talks in Brussels.

Even if we leave the EU there's no guarantee the TPD wouldn't still be implemented

TPD would have to be delayed for at least a couple of years to avoid that I think Greg, and even then I'm sure the UK would implement some sort of TPD type regulations.

Just delay it on the 'never, never' Everybody wins. The longer it takes, the more time people have to work out how abominable JTIs products are.

the fact its a tobacco control directive should indicate there not going to get any leeway, the likelihood is they will be told to take a hike, having had morer than 2 years warning and having been part of the working group that created the amendments.
another interesting aspect is that the e-voke's mhra licence will cease to be in effect once the TPD comes into effect as its not ready for market (by the time they figure out the quality control issues its will be a total of ten years out of date....) the TPD didn't do what was planned and has had an adverse effect (vapers didn't roll over and go back ot tobacco instead they figured out how to politicise their cause and spread the word through non traditional media channels) making most of the act moot and the changing direction of the big tobacco companies themselves into the vape arena being made simpler in some markets and more difficult in others, indeed its fractured the entire single market place into 27 separate rule groups fundamentally breaking the designs of unionised trade laws .....now there in danger of the principle articles getting enforced and spreading the most severe restrictions across the whole of the EU to once again achieve the "single market trade law" status effectively banning all vape gear and all but the basic plain packaged tobacco lines limiting the sales options everywhere....

It's a good point. It'd be like having a Vacuum Cleaner products directive and crying wolf because you just built 250,000 Hoovers. Oh, wait.... didn't that happen already.

Oh, wait.... didn't that happen already. it did indeed but then it also didn't delay the law coming into force, all it actually did was have national governments issue a time lapse decree, however since the plain packaging law was already on the cards in several countries for an earlier date that got delayed due to the tpd that's unlikely to get deferred for another 18months despite them crying about it yet again

I don't think they will delay either tob or ecigs regs.
