I saw that, but wondered what was being administered at high dose. Presumed nicotine, but it seems very misleading.

Now why did I know that was going to be from the University of California before I even opened the thread. Won't someone think of the mice? Actually the results would be as useful if the mice did the experiments.

Given a 1 star rating. Umm, if e-cigs suppress immune defenses then I wonder why it is that I don't seem to suffer half as much with colds & coughs like I used to, and that even if I do get a cold & cough it usually is very very mild and the cough which used to always go to my chest and last for a good couple of months is now only a dry cough lasting no longer than a couple of days. Funny that eh - seems that my immune defenses are better now than they ever were before!! Taking this article with a pinch of salt

nice of them to post a link to the report, seems rather strange to find the bacteria acted like they were on steroids in their clinical trial after exposure to vapour, especially given they specifically mention PG in the liquid when from 1946 until 1990 the majority of hospitals utilised a pg liquid in their ventilation systems to protect public health and asthma inhalers (wet kind) still predominantly utilise PG as the carrier since it has anti inflammatory properties (it also gets heated up as its ejected from the cartridge at high pressure to form a mist vapour) no surprise its from one of the same people behind the last sensationalist bit of anti e-cig propaganda that came from the exact same institute who's press release had nothing to do with the results of the actual study..... one has to wonder more though how it is this vaunted research facility (that's supposed to study things to make veterans lives better) has been able to receive funding for all these studies into how dangerous e-cigs are from pharmaceutical groups, tobacco control lobbies and various government agencies whilst not actually being able to afford veterans care, surely they could of fudged together a fake report without needing the lab time and come out with observatons that matched the pre written narrative they describe and spent the cash on looking after the people theres supposed to be looking after..... its starting to seem like any cash strapped institute can be turned into a careless laughing stock overnight... hopefully someone will provide a free to read web hosted copy of the report later with a well written dissection of the work (and not reverend seigle because his writing style is bonk) certainly this follow up to the wrang-rodrigez realese deserves at least as much if not more scrutiny for the simple reason it might offer every pre 1990 patient the chance to sue the crap out of their national healthcare system and cease being poor for every airborne infection they have suffered since that stay ..... which happily includes me and I could certainly do with not being quite so poor

Bobsbeer I don't post comments on random websites though, I begrudgingly have a facecrap account linked to a building that was bulldozed 4 years ago in a name that's was/is wholly made up.... buggritt if I wrote an essay it would have a minimum of a thousand words and likely wouldn't fit on a forum page

No one would complain and they are almost human.

Sound like tosh to me.
Most vapers report being much healthier and not contracting so many bugs.
Then again, that is in comparison to being a smoker, I guess.
More 'stirring' i.m.o. that only tells us e-cigs are maybe not 100% safe.... which isn't really news.
