Ok, so here goes... please bear with me, and I'll try to be brief and as concise as possible! I gave up on the rollups back in September last year... I bought an ecig The One Kit from a vendor on his recommendation. Couldn't get to grips with it, found this forum and persevered, despite not enjoying it as much as smoking. I hate to say it, but I still do MISS smoking! I miss just being able to roll up a cig without worrying about if the battery is charged, if the atomiser-thingie has been changed, (and that's after spending TWO HOURS online trying to find the right ones because every vape shop in the UK is out of stock of the ones I need!!! ) if the tank if filled up with the right percentage of 50%-30%-20%???? liquid or whatever percentage it is supposed to have. I just want to sit down and enjoy a smoke without needing a degree in engineering. I am NOT a techie person. I do NOT get on with gadgets. (I was given an apple air-pad something or other for Christmas... I had to put it back in the box and leave it there because I can't get it to work. It's still there. Honestly... I'm that bad.) The only reason I've stuck with vaping is because of the fear of cancer, and that's the honest truth. If it weren't for that, I'd go back onto the rollies in a second. Vaping just feels so unnatural....bits of metal and plastic, and liquids with mathmatical equations and CONSTANTLY having to charge the stupid thing. I know I need to get a different gadget. The one I have is driving me to distraction, because I'm fed up with always having to charge it, (I finally bought another of the same one, so one could be charging while the other is attached to the tank with liquid) and I don't get a proper throat hit from it anyway. I was not a heavy smoker, (about 10-12 rollups a day) so it's really frustrating. So...my question is this. Is there something similar to the one I've got that can hold a charge for at least a day or two? What if I can't get someplace to charge it? What if there is a power cut? (I've kept an old packet of Golden Virginia and papers for emergencies, because I worry about this. ) I would prefer something that is the same shape as the one I have... I don't like those square box ones....and I'm sorry, but I don't understand things about oms and redoing old wicks or any of that. I am really, seriously considering going back to tobacco because it's so much more hassle-free. Somebody really needs to design a techno-phobe ecig for hapless smokers like me. Please? thanks to anyone who has the patience to respond to this. Sad TipsyTurtle

Hello and dont worry. we have in the most part all been in the same place. Smoking does more to you than just fix the nicotine need and it has associations all day through. Watching certain TV shows, doing certain things all trigger the "I need a ciggy" urge. Get yourself a little emergency backup device if you are worried. You need to ask yourself a few questions. Do you want a device with a built in battery or are you happy to recharge and fill and go. Do you want to buy attomisers or happy to play with rebuilding? An Istick is a pretty good setup for example www.eleafworld.com/istick-basic/I am not saying this is what you need,b ut its worth looking and if you like this sort of setup we can point you in the right direction

Realistically, no matter what setup you have, there could always potentially be a situation where you may not be able to charge or a coil may burn out etc.
Regarding power, I know you don't like box style mods but you should seriously consider one as something like the Evic VTC Mini has the ability to swap out the battery. It's very small for a box mod. I never charge via a cable and have an external battery charger so if I'm out and about I will carry as many batteries as I think I'll need. I don't know much about the kit you have but I'm going to assume that you vape it in the same way you would smoke a cigarette (mouth to lung vaping) so a tank like the Nautilus would be a good choice. It would simply be a case of carrying a battery and a spare coil with you which would be no more cumbersome than carrying some smoking stuff.

I was considering the charger route etc, but the reluctance to use devices led me to not put this forward.

I was thinking that maybe the innokin T18 may work, ok you will still need to charge it up but other than that and a odd coil change which is very easy and clean todo on them. Its a very very simple easy to use set up that works very well IMHO. www.dnavapes.com/products/endura-t18-kit you could always get and carry a spare battery if your worried about running it flat.

tipsyturtle, yahoo2u2 is right, for starters you need a back up & I also think an iStick is the way to go

Just to say well done for giving up smoking even using such basic equipment. What would be amazing would be if you did not miss smoking after such a short time and with such limited kit. I vaped and smoked for years using kit rather like what you have; it never really cut it. Once I found something that worked I would not roll or smoke another ciggy if someone payed me.
I will not make any specific recommendations; you will get enough from folks better informed than me; except to note the battery capacity you have is tiny and almost anything would be an improvement i.e see posts above. Good Luck

As @chrissie mentioned, an Istick would likely be your best move, you really need a second device for when one is on charge.

To be honest with you if you want long battery life a box mod is the only way to go. It's just the limitation of batteries i'm afraid, a tube shape mod would just be ridiculously long to accommodate 2 batteries which is what you need for long battery life. I would recommend for you the MVP3 Pro. It's a dead simple device no fancy menus or temp control stuff just set your desired watts and push the fire button. Has built in batteries so you don't need to worry about buying a separate charger etc. The 4500mAh battery will easily see you through a full day maybe even 2 depending on the atomiser resistance you use. www.fasttech.com/products/0/10011135/3712503-authentic-innokin-itaste-mvp-3-0-pro-60w-4500mah

I'm disappointed. An opportunity to bash UKecigstore is going to go begging as I just feel so sorry about this. The reason most of us stick with vaping is because of the fear of ill-health, so you are not alone. What you bought and use is probably not ideal; those atomizers frustrated the hell out of me... I wonder how UKe***.. have the front to call them 'newly designed for us' when they are just Aspire BVCs (CE5) with a plastic drip tip. (stop it, Dave). Either way, an eGo battery is not long-lasting enough for anybody really, so I recommend a small box mod and a better tank. Got to be worth a try. I'd take my chances with the smallest box available (there are some smaller than iSticks) and perhaps an Eleaf GS Air tank.

This is the sort of situation where you need to meet up with an experienced vaper, or get advice from a "good" vendor that knows what they're doing. The choice of kit is now vast, and there will be something out there that will suit you down to the ground, the problem is finding it. You could spend a lot of time (& money) getting confused & frustrated with not having the right kit for you. It is a bit of a journey, some trial & error along the way, but please persevere, you've been off the fags for a while & are hopefully feeling the benefits. It took quite a few go's for me to quit the fags completely, much of the time was spent trying to finding the kit that suited me. When I did, it was easy, when I was faffing about and not getting a satisfactory replacement for fags it was really hard. Well done & don't give up on your vaping journey, the end game really is worth it

Dave, yes I found out that out the hard way, because UKe*** were constantly out of them, and my eliquid was starting to taste pretty foul until someone took pity and told me Aspire atomisers would fit just as well. Yahoo2u2, rebuilding would be a bit too much. I am not good when it comes to gadgety things. I think I'm going to have to compromise somehow... I need a better battery, but not in a square box. I prefer the tubular-shaped ones, so I'm not sure what to do. (sigh) other than I have to go charge the silly thing for the second time today. The one that B Road Blaster posted a link to looks ok- the Endura... but would I have to buy two of them again, so that one would be on charge while I'm using the other one? Sorry to be so dense.

Sorry to be so dense. don't be sorry. It's always ideal to have a backup mod, what you could do is have the endura one for out n about and something simple as mentioned the mvp3 pro for indoor use. I'm not clued up on tube mods with built in battery. Would you mind going down the external chartering route? I.e seperate battery, separate charger? If you are than it would be easier for battery life as a single 18650 battery should last a day and a bit depending on atty resistance and wattage. Nitecore d2 charger £23 2 x Samsung 25r 18650 £9.99 Atomiser/tank £10-£30 Mod The prices above are estimated but should be around that range What's your budget?

Hello No sure if my advice can be a good help but my first proper kit was Joyetech eGo One. www.joyetech.co.uk/electronic-cigarette-kits/ego-one-series#.Vq1TajbJyfU It was a good choice as it was small and stylish and powerful enough to get good flavour. And it lasted through a day. And after that I bought iStick 30w because I wanted to try different tanks. Even after owning several mods, I still regularly use iStick as it charges quickly, small and easy to use. So I do recommend iStick! It really is small! Buying two is not a bad idea though, I normally take 2 with me so that I can enjoy 2 different flavours on go. Good luck
