Not sure why everyone is suggesting the istick. It doesn't have a removable battery. If you wish to eliminate the potential of not being able to charge, carrying a couple of batteries is the way forward. Especially if you're used to carrying rollie equipment.

well there's the rub> ecigs need to be charged, whether the battery is in or out of the device. tipsyturtle, do you specifically want removeable batteries? if not and you could get your head round the form factor, a box mod with a bigger battery capacity might be the solution. the mvp3 pro has been mentioned and i can recommend it because i charge it about every third day (not sub ohm). it looks a bit retro now but hell yeah it'll do for the battery life. it depends on when and where you take it i suppose, perhaps an istick when out and about may be better for you? and from me too, well done for surviving for so long on such underperforming kit when there's such better stuff out there.

Evic VTC Mini + Nautilus Mini or even full size Nautilus if you want to refill even less often. Winning combo. Grab a couple of Samsung 25r batteries and a Nitecore i2 charger. When you leave the house carry a spare battery and a spare coil (tiny) just in case. Battery will last 18+ hours at 12-14w and your coil should last a week. Easy peasy

The eleaf GS Air that djs recommended kicks the Nauti into touch. As does the Smok TFV4 with the 1.5 ohm coils. Better flavour and much longer lasting coils to be had from both. I used to love my Nautis, but the coils have been terrible for a year or so. I bought from enough places to be reasonably sure it was more than a duff batch Sent from my X5pro using proboards

The reason i said about the T18 is i think tipsyturtle wants something that is easy, sounds to me like they do not want to be changing watts about they just want a click and go set up that is a round tube. The battery will have to be charged on any thing you buy no getting round that, the coils again will have to be changed its just the way it is with the T18 its a top fill so easy and clean to do, and the coil is very easy to change again its a very easy design that is clean and simple. You could also look at the T 22 ok its not quite round/tube but also not quite a box shape it has double the battery power of the T18 so you should get a day from it. Both of these are vape through so they can be use while they are on charge. www.dnavapes.com/collections/kits/products/endura-t22-kit

A work colleague of mine has an Endura T22, and it is indeed faff-free. This might be the solution to tipsyturtle's request - not overly big, and might pack enough punch for a day's vaping. The problem will always be that of size v. battery life. The larger the mod, the larger the batteries capable of being installed, and the longer the life between charges. Tipsy, have you actually held an iStick in your hand? I think you might be pleasantly surprised by just how small and discreet it is

Can I ask what level nic you are on because you still want to smoke. I for one was a heavy smoker 40 plus a day for over 40 years. I switch with in two days and have never wanted a smoke till this day and that's been for over 3 years now. My point is a lot of shops ask how much you smoke and say you need this level of nic and for the most part they are wrong with people that only smoke a few a day. I have a friend the shop he went to said how much do you smoke , ten a day he said they put him on 12mil nic juice. He always wanted a smoke and said these don,t work very well I want to smoke all the time and he was along with vapping. It was not till I made him some 24mil nic juice he switch over full time and said he didn,t need or want a smoke any more. I have a had quite a few friends like the one above and always the same to low nic level to hit the spot.
There have been tests on levels of nic and if you are on to low a level all you do is use more to make up for it ie: battery`s don,t last long and you don,t get the buz or throat hit you get smoking.
I don,t know the unit you are using and if you are on a high nic strength now ,you need a better one if not try upping your nic strength and see how it goes. The likes of an aspire K1 with 1.6 to 1.8 ohm coils with any ego one 1000mah battery should last you all day if not more. By the way you will need high PG juice 70/30 to help with the throat hit.
I still use my K1s now for work, I find them cheep £10 for the unit with 5 spare coils on amazon and the BVC coils are like £5 for 5. You should get around a month out of each coil if you are not using a coil killer juice like custard then if so two to three weeks. They are just as good as the nautilus but don,t hold as much juice 1.5mils but at 1/4 the price and how well they perform is great.

As Chrissie said I think is a good idea to go on a vape meet around you,you can see what is on the market, devices and juices rather then just look at pictures in the internet.

tipsyturtleI started off using the liquipal starter kit, www.amazon.co.uk/LiquiPal-Squared-Cigarette-Starter-Kit/dp/B00SHLZ612/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454247973&sr=8-1&keywords=liquipal it was fine for an intro to vaping but the batteries needed charging 5 times a day, like you I wanted better batteries as my primary concern, I bought a couple of high rated ego sticks but the burnt out the coils being thye worked in the exact same way as a mech mod.... on recomentdation I got an istick and then a mini nautilus, (I still use them for certain juices) I have since moved on to other kit as my primary stuff, I would say swapping to a small square battery unit was the main reason I stuck with vaping rather than going back to fags, I started lowering my nic level shortly after getting better kit, top fill tanks are so much better than bottom fill ones, the evic mini I a touch larger than the istick but around the same price and as others have said you get the benefit of the swappable batteries, some times you have to decide whats more important form or function, and whilst the didy pen units have the form their functionality leaves a lot to be desired, on the other hand the small box mods have the functionality but not the desirable form, if colours are a problem then you can buy colour wraps or rubber cases but realistically your looking at moving on or sticking to the same barely useable kit

Beware tipsyturtle you're being groomed; before you know it you will be forced to take part in vapy initiation rituals in the dark recesses of a shady London pub; made to watch ring blowing contests and the dreaded who can set off the fire alarm first competition. You may even get your coils forcibly rebuilt. Seriously I only ever managed to get to one London meet myself but they where very friendly people; and very welcoming to a newcomer; I escaped unharmed plus I learnt more that night than in a month reading forums.

I know, I would love to get to a vaping meet, but because I'm disabled it's very difficult for me to get into Central London...the Underground is a nightmare, especially on a Saturday. If there is ever one up in North London, I might be able to get to it, depending on where it is. I'd love to meet other members from here- everyone has been so helpful and friendly!

Wow, so much information here- thanks everyone! At the moment my primary liquid is from Manabush, (a recommendation on here, it's really nice) and it is 50/50 vg-pg, and 3mg...is that the strength? I also use several different ones from VapeMate and a tobacco-flavoured one from the eCig Store... it seems thinner, and the Manabush sometimes seems to be too thick for my ecig so I 'water' it down with the eCig Store liquid, (which is 70/30) This is the kit that I have.... cdn.ecigclick.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/the-one-kit.jpgIt looks like I might have to consider one of the square ones... although they all look quite similar so I'm not sure which is the best- is this a good one? www.eleafworld.com/istick-basic/And they are on sale, for about £26...although I'm not sure what the postage will be! although I like these, too- g02.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1.rBvIXXXXXcMXpXXq6xXFXXXa/2015-Joyetech-eGo-one-kit-1100mah-2200mAh-passthrough-adjustable-airflow-ego-series-Joye-ego-one-atomizer.jpgI'm not too worried about adjusting temperature or anything on the thing itself... I have enough trouble remembering numbers, (I have to save empty bottles to constantly check the percentages on them, because it's a problem I have with numbers ) so I'd probably end up adjusting it the wrong way! Not sure of the tobacco strengths on my liquids, I'm never sure if the numbers are about that, or how much liquid is in the bottle! There have been several mentions of removable batteries... does this mean it has batteries like AA ones in it, that can be taken out and recharged? I think I would prefer one that charges via a USB cable, because while I'm on the computer I can see it and keep an eye on it. Thanks again for all the helpful tips!

The most common form of removable battery for vaping is currently the Li-ion 18650; same form as an AA battery but bigger and different chemistry. Resulting in much more capacity; an alkaline AA would just not cut it.
