I have been using the standard resistance Vision Stardusts on my LT and VV Riva and I do find that after about 3 or 4 fills the liquid starts turning brown. I just vape it till its empty then take the top off and put it under a warm tap and rinse it through, shaking it out a couple of times. You can see the wick turning from brown to white. after I blow it through, re-assemble, fill it and vape away, it may take a few tugs to get the flavour going again as the water boils off. Keeps them vaping nice for longer.

Tried them on ProVari's and my VV Altoids mod at higher voltages.
They ohm'd out at 2.2 - 2.8 so figured out where I was going. Wonder why they make something for an Ego battery that has a max of 3.4 volts in that resistance.

Well for me the Stardusts have become my main carto of choice. (but then I don't have any fancy VV mods to put them on and disappoint myself ) I'm sure there must be a decent market for used but unloved ones...

My vote for the stardust too..
I think they rock and are totally solder free inside which is one of the main attractions for me..With a SS mesh, they really bring the flavour out of any juice..Shame the original container cracks but it is a gem of a design otherwise.

Hi maccafan, I've been rewicking and recoiling these bad boys myself, but have not used the mesh. Can you explain how you go about using the mesh instead of the resistant wire that I use. Cheers

Not tried the LR stardusts but TBH I prefer normal boges for consistency over the SR Stardusts (have used 2) perhaps just unlucky?

The SS mesh is rolled up and used as a wick. The resistance wire is wound around this..
You can buy a sheet of #400 SS mesh and cut up a small section about 10mm x 15 mm and roll it along the 10 mm length around the tube. You then need to oxidize the SS wick so that it does not conduct and prepare your coil.
See this vid on how to oxidize the wick to make it non conducting.
There are many other vids around.. Search for genesis mesh in youtube.
Then wind your resistance wire around it rebuild your stardust as normal. Takes maybe an extra 5-10 minutes but the mesh wick lasts for a long time. Rebuild giving some distance between windings to avoid hotspots and test it before assembling.
Try it. Works well once you got the wick right..
