In the past I've ordered 4 at a time. I read somewhere (and this could be quite wrong) that 4 is that maximum Royal mail allos. So has anyone had success or failure with more than 4 in a single order?

Not sure about Royal Fail as I have had packages that have been labelled as Li batteries from the States recently, but it used to be no loose batteries at all.
I have had 12 18650s from China in one order within the last year with no problems.

Err, my limited experience with total honesty when sending a vape battery via the post office (packed safely in a battery box.. ) ended up with a point blank refusal with a pulled out laminated chart from under the counter to boot. Ironically i also sent a lucazade bottle of amalayse ( a brewing enzyme which converts grain starch to sugar) which i described as a biological culture with no trouble in the same post office visit!! now if sending vape gear i take a leaf from our favorite chinese web sellers books and describe the contents as parts.. well i tend to break things down to fit in the smallest letter sized pack so its true oh and juice is flavourings back to the point of the Q though, GB and FT (only folk i have bought 18650's from in china) will limit the PnP options at check out to those carriers that will be able to deliver to your door, it may mean the final leg is carried by a courier?? tho im fairly sure my last lot of vt4's came through with royal mail anyway

RM carry mail up/own the country by aircraft and I think that would be in lightweight metal containers? They've asked me at a PO and I said yes and the battery is installed backwards in a mobile phone. Off it went.
I don't think they have much of a clue whats in post...until it goes bang or something?

my order just before xmass (despite being severely delayed) was for 12 batts, they came in 2 packs of 6 and one pack was delivered by RM and the other buy yodel, I don't understand why they don't just ship them all via DHL/yodel since there's a DHL/yodel depot at Shenzhen international and half the stuff comes through them direct with the UK tracking number whilst half of it comes via Belgium or Swedish post or worse via xfl surface mail (the last one seems to travel to Singapore then the Philippians then get airmailed to Heathrow rather than going direct through land or sea routes....)
I think its all luck though the last 2 packs of 25r's were sent with other items via the depot in Shenzhen with the yodel tracking number on took them 7 days to arrive, 3 of them were the time they sat in the Hayes depot(after customs had cleared them) before getting released on the Friday night to the local depot who then sat on them for another 2 days before they then arrived on the Monday morning meaning they actually spent 5 days delayed at a depot in the UK which means my order from china should only have taken 72hours if it wasn't for yodel having 15 days to make the delivery .....

i have seen similar quite often with items shipping and arriving within a few days in the UK, then they move through the system at a snail's pace.

just received a pile of bats and other stuff today, the batteries were ordered 14 days ago and came via the standard sweeden mail, conversely I ordered some batts with some LED lights on the 1st of feb and they arrived on the 4th, in both cases the final leg of th edelivery was made by RM, and I sti have 2 outstanding batteries that I ordered 5 weeks ago shipped via sweedish surface post that ook ike a claim is going in for next week if they don't show up ..... I know that postal tiems arer always longer around the end of the year/ beginning of the new year due to voumes of stuff shipped but I also am aware this stuff shouldn't be taking as long as it does in many cases the reasons seem to be trackable to the C&I warehouse at hayes and the hattfield sorting centre, some times stuff gets through there in 24 hours and other times it takes a week or more ......(yes 99% of the time I use the optional tracking on parcel deliveries from overseas).

Anybody know who sells the tagged 18650 Batts of quality and right kinda price?
Just noted Singapore tracking of free post stuff (non batts) from FT registered as landed GB yesterday 10/02. Ship out was 04/02. Now will see extent of UK mess about.
Pity they don't include landing place also.

I think it just a disclaimer to protect them selves as they use a proper battery tag welder so they should be fine to use unless some one on here knows any different??

I think it just a disclaimer to protect them selves as they use a proper battery tag welder so they should be fine to use unless some one on here knows any different?? I was under the impression that tagging them actually damages the conductive material inside the units in a thermal way, which is what makes them unsuitable for vape use, I have in the past known of a company that used to take a standard 18650 batt then put it inside a metal case with tags on (altering the dimensions) and called them 19750's to eliminate the chances of causing problems. iirc there is a way to do it with a zero ohm putty but the stuff is expensive, Alibaba se the stuff but there's only one seller and they demand a minimum order of 10kg's I don't know if its available in the UK in smaller quantities but I would doubt it. I would suggest a better option would be a different enclosure for the batteries unless your plan is to create grenades
