Have seen bank of England are more than likely too keep interest rates at 0.5% for the rest of the year, at the same time house pricing are souring, Uk has built it whole economy on credit and housing market.

It makes you wonder who is buying all these new built homes the gov says we need so people can get on the housing ladder. I can think of at least 6 new build 'estates' within a stones throw of where i live and before the paint is dry 90% of them have got 'To Let' signs up out front.

Yes banks will lend to property landlords as they have asset, to which they can recover there money from, but what about kids what future, banks really will only lend to them if they have a A1 credit record and 15% so round £40000 to £50000,most will never have a chance.
whether Labour or Conservative they have both let down the next Generation within the UK, and now credit borrowing is 3 times higher than the 2008 bank disaster, houses are higher but wages have remained the same its like a elastic band & when it finally breaks the shit going to hit the fan,but this time its going to be hard to just spend there way out of a recession,as people don't save and turning the money printing presses on again is going to be a lot harder next time.

Let's say they build a hundred houses that go for £200,000. There's a bit of a boom and two years later a hundred similar houses are built that go for £250.000. So who gets the extra £50,000? The brickies won't see much of it. Must be the house builders. No, but they will get a bit of it. Most actually goes to whoever owned the land. That's the best part of 5 million for doing naff all.

Hey I forgot to say my bungalow was a new build My mum and dad have just purchased a bungalow,as my father has problem with stairs now,2 bedrooms, reasonable size £405000 they looked lasts year and they were £350000. Kids really have no chance in this country now. As for the government all you hear is that parents must help there kids,so lets see as parents we need help with house deposit for our kids we need to help with university fee we need to save for the future,do the government realise that not everyone earns 100k a year.

It's crazy the pricing now Absolutely ridiculous Crazy is too gentle a word. My mother died 3 years back in S.E London. Her flat jumped £100k in 12 months from the date she died. Lucky I was sole beneficiary. Fortunately I could stick my son in it. The cost to any quality (perceived) of life is the BTL's around there and contents thereof....mainly thanks to Greenwich council and physco governments. Yes..its near beheading territory and as ex military I am seriously very mad about that.

Case in point. I got a young Brit electrician in for a consumer box change (S.E London). In conversation he said he wanted to upgrade (2 to 3/4 beds)....kids thing. He said he really can't because as soon as he spots a property near right price its upped in price or gone within the short time he gets to arrange himself. Don't think thats going to stop with the invites going out. Thats apart from high loading on all services!

My mother died in Oct 2014 but due to various problems with my own health over the last year haver only just been able to sort out probate etc. House had to be valued at time of her passing and since then has risen by 80k in last 18 months. Again it benefits me as I'm only beneficiary. So when its sold ill be worth a few quid after paying off my current mortgage, and will allow me to help my son and his new wife/family with a deposit to buy their first property.
