TV reality shows...

Just to stir things up a little on a cold February evening, but what entertainment do people get out these shows?

I've watched a few teaser clips from 'Big Brother' and would rather watch 'paint dry'... 'The Only Way Is ... wherever', is to promote people who think they're beautiful and interesting, but they are deluding themselves.

Even 'I'm a Celebrity', which wins awards, I cannot stand apart from the first and last episodes, and then only in small bites.

Now, 'The Jump'. and I will admit I've never watched a minute of it, because why would I? Who wants to watch desperate 'celebrities' risk serious injuries (which have now happened) for the sake of a pay check.

I'm now off to search YouTube for episodes of 'Watch with Mother' for some real entertainment.

I'm with you mr raffles I don't understand then cannot see the point of them there's just no educational value to them at all and IMO should be banned from TV.

Now this has got me thinking, is there any wonder the youth of today are like they are watching this type of rubbish and let's face it if there not watching rubbish like this there just sat at home pissing around on bloody forums errrrr well some forums are perfectly ok lol.

I have to go the opposite to the above.
I rather enjoy the Celebrity Big Brother/Get me out of here but for the following reasons:-

I enjoy seeing these self important, adoration seeking, money grabbing Z rated saddo`s making complete tw@ts of themselves and watching them fall from their self positioned high pedestals.

But I also occasionally find that my pre-conceived ideas about some of them are proved wrong when the odd 1 or 2 celebs turn out to be rather nice.

I know what you mean minime ... the youth of today have forgotten how to interact with another human being in the 'real' world. 

We could do with an Internet 'outage' or TV 'outage' for a month...

Greigster you do have a point there... although I can't bring myself to watch them, I believe Darren Day & Danielle Westbrook have redeemed themselves, for the time being.

It's true tho I listen to the young ones at work and it's Facebook this and I'm a celebrity that and so on. I often think to my self god when I was there age I was out and about in my car meaning people in different places.

I finished with BB when they started to announce the womens bra size as they were introducing them. Not to appear high brow or anything but I found it insulting to my senses.

I watched a couple of Chelsea and found it quite amusing.

Personally, I find these shows rather marvellous. Nowt better than sitting with a cold cup of Horlicks and my DIY lobotomy ladle wishing I was one of them.

I like I am a celeb, come dancing and dancing on ice? CBB I watch this year as mu brother said it was funny and it was. I do have concerns over the Jump, it needs ot be taken off air. I have never watched it for no other reason as I have not looked for it.

Yes, many are after the pay CHEQUE, notice the spelling here , they still need to make a living and a name CHECK on TV that they have not been on for years that might give them a break they now need. So nothing wrong in that and the marvels of the off button.

With Day and Westbrook they were given too much from nothing and just could not handle it. They are hoping for a second bite of the cherry and to manage it better this time. Many of us dont get the chance to do it again.
