Great review as usual got the black ones myself just loving the battery life on it ,not in to TC so this is a great little mod when I put out and about for a few hours

Same here Karma. With a 1.2 ohm coil at 13 watts it lasts for so long. Between that and my MVP 3 Pro I can go all week without charging.

I got one for the wife, set her up with that and the crius V3 for a bit of custardy goodness lol. Nice mod, nice fit in the hand and decent battery life plus you can use it while it's charging.

Nice review and I totally agree with this kit and the price is so good for what you get.
Think I have already made it clear in other posts that I love the IV plus and why I now have 4 of the buggers keeping me happy, well a few in boxes as spares just in case

I have never tried the G tanks and they seem to be very popular, But I have gone all out on the Apex tanks, 2 that came with the kits, plus I have 2 of the 5ml tanks and I am very pleased with them.
I don't mind the looks of them, they do look a bit like small kegs of beer lol but I don't think they look bad at all and more importantly, they do the job nicely

Got an iSub S tank on the way too so looking forward to trying that out soon.

As for charging, mine stays completely cool while fast charging from the mains. I use a Syncwire 4 port USB fast charger from Amazon which can handle max of 3A on each USB port.
I also don't use the micro usb cable that came with the IV plus, I bought some good quality Aukey micro usb cables which can handle the 2.0 quick charging.

I am sure the Original cable is up to the job but I have had no problems with what I am using and mod stays cool during charge.
I was surprised as I heard a number of reviews saying the mod got warm while fast charging and is expected to warm a little.
I always turn it off before charging as well whether that makes any difference.

I would not bother using pc/laptop to charge as the USB ports will not provide enough power to charge quickly and even then will be well under 1A, probably under 0.5A which will take ages to fully charge pretty much anything you hook up to a pc/laptop.

I love the IV+ and use it all day for work. Fits nicely even in my big clumsy man hands and as others have said the battery lasts forever. One small negative (for my IV+ at least) is that it doesn't seem to like Subtanks and adds 0.1ohm to the coil reading. I've tested this now with 2 subtanks and 1 toptank. It's fine with the iSubs though and always gives the correct value for those.
