While I won't be listening, as I don't usually listen to Woman's Hour, I see no reason not to broadcast it. I'm sure if kids were interested they could probably download the novel and read it themselves. It is supposed to be a season of celebrating feminist literature, so seems appropriate to me.

I believe there referring to the fact it tends to be dry dull and boring content whilst radio 1 tends to be "hip & happening", also I suspect they are finally utilising the results from the oodles of cash they waste every year doing listener demographic polls which have been saying the same thing for years different groups listen to different channels but every group has outliers that don't fit the model/ as to the proposed content its not any different to the content of several radio shows in the past, it just seems slightly shocking in the current PC age where femenatzi's have lambasted anyone attempting to ape reality as debasing wimin .....
