After having used the iTaste 134 for about 2 years now, maybe it's time for new toys. I'm planning on getting the following:
Innokin Disrupter Innokin iSub Apex 5 Tank Innokin iSub Clapton Coils
Is there anyone out there who has the same and can tell me what they are like?

the Isubs get good feedback, the cuboid recommended above uses the same/similar s/w as the evic mini which is a very popular mod. for somethink with a built in battery there are the smok r80 and r200 too same /similar form factor as the m80 but with working temp control features www.smoktech.com/kit/micro-one-starter-kitwww.smoktech.com/mod/r200the tfv4 atty in the r80 kit i linked to is a new version of the mini which is an atty i have and like, it has got a reputation for going through juice quickly tho..

Although I don't have a Disrupter, I do wonder if you could do with something with a bit more punch? Let's face it, the wattages required these days are massive compared to say two years ago, when 50 or 60w were considered very high end. Even if you don't see yourself using wattages in excess of 50w now, for the sake of futureproofing yourself, I wonder if something which can safely pump out 100w would not be a sensible move? It will be interesting to see what others say here - I am only lately getting into higher wattage settings, but I can not foresee a time in the future when they will come back down!

I *personally* decided not to take the iSub route. Instead, I looked for another MTL tank with good, solid coils. (At the moment, I'm trying the Eleaf GS tank) For me, improving the vape at 14-18 watts is where I am at. I have subtanks (Nano x 2, Mini x 2, Bell Cap x 2) and Kayfun Monsters set up for direct lung. These tanks are not where my future lies.... so no point *for me* buying them. If I really want a tip-top 30w-50w vape for a bit, I raid the vape box for RDAs. There's no wrong or right. Just my thoughts.

The iSub S looks very interesting Perpetua as well as your standard 0.5ohm coils suggestion. When you say they last such a good time, how long is that roughly? What would be a good higher wattage mod, as everyone seem to suggest something other than a Disrupter? Ideally I wouldn't want something which is thirstier than a lost soul in a desert

Ideally I wouldn't want something which is thirstier than a lost soul in a desert Literally months for me doctorjellybean . . . . I started using the iSubs last August, with 2 of them on the go ( although not exclusively as subohming at work isn't an option ) I've used 6 coils! If it was your main source of vaping, then I'd imagine consumption would be a bit higher - but still excellent for stock coils. I don't see the Claptons lasting that long, based on my shortish usuage of them. Being a lazy vaper, mods with an internal battery suit me well currently - I use the iSubs on a iStick 50 watt and am currently waiting on one of these: www.fasttech.com/p/4240600You won't need so much oomphage if you stick with the standard coils either, so your battery run time will be better. PS. There's also an RBA kit now for the iSub doctorjellybean: myepack.co.uk/accessories/innokin-isub-rba-kit.html

I have a disrupter!
It's a great mod but it has neither the power nor battery life to run Clapton coils. So if you're going with the disrupter I'd either stick to the regular 0.5ohm isub coils or get a more powerful mod with a much bigger battery.
I have a lemo 2 sat on my disrupter. I coil it at 1.4ohms and run it around 18-20w. I get barely a day out of it if I use it all day.
That said you could pick up a few spare batteries and just swap the battery when one gets low.

I think the Apex 5 is new. Not sure though. Might grab one myself.

I was thinking of the original Apex must confess doctorjellybean . . . . although the 5 looks very nice I don't know that it would warrant the price difference for .5ml for me anyway. Not when I've over indulged myself on the iSub obession as it is!

One other question:
Various reviews of the higher wattage mods e.g. Disrupter, seems to suggest vaping lower strengths juice, around 6mg. I'm vaping 18mg, admittely at 9w with the iTaste 134. Does the suggestion make sense?

Does the suggestion make sense? Absolutely! You'll likely blow your noodle off subohming with 18mg doctorjellybean . . . . . 6mg does me very nicely, having also been at 18mg for years. Incidentally, I've also reduced my ' go to work ' strength to 12mg - subohming is a brilliant way of reducing without any tears or traumas.

doctorjellybeani would suggest you get some zeromg of the same flavour juice and mix it with the current 18mg stock and adjust the ratio til you find whats best, personally i went from 18mg @10w down to 12mg at 15w and now use 3mg @30w (or more) a couple of my tanks i use the stronger stuff in at the lower wattage when out n about but generally i use the 3mg in the sub ohm tanks at the higher wattage, if you did a 50/50 mix with 0mg +18mg you would be at 9mg if you get dizzy /sick feeling /flashy spots in your eyes then its to strong, so mix 75%0mg 25% 18mg and your on 6mg again as before if its too strong then just add another 50% of zero to the mix and your at 3mg (i cant see you will step down that low in one go though not unless your cranking it up past 30watts)
