Well reasoned article. Let's hope the judges read it. Although I somehow doubt it.

I agree its a good article and it doesn't even hint at the environmental issues the tpd introduces and the AG waved away as "not necessary to worry about" after all why should anyone care that you now require 5 times as much packaging for the same 10ml bottle that you previously did (the plastic bottle with the poisons label, the cardboard box containing all the other printed worry wart stuff + the product name and logo and company info + the heat sealed plastic outer layer) which is all fantastic and green and in keeping with the lowered carbon policies the EU eschews at every level except when its expedient for the tobacco industry to ignore them and the bought n paid for public officials to wave it through.....
TW never really had a chance and when this case fails it will signify that the judges were bought off as well just as they have been in various other cases....
the EU and all its machinations are set out as the new soviet bloc, the top level team are called commissioners and are not elected by the people they are above the law and they do what is best for their pockets, they steal lie and cheat at everything possible and the world at large views them as a dangerous pile of vipers to be avoided wherever possible, that is the reason they have failed to generate real trade deals with any other nation and its why their accounts are never straight in over 20 years, things were so bad that they ordered the audit team replaced with new yes men and even they failed to cook the books to make them level leaving them at a minimum of 2.6 billion adrift every year (some other people who looked at the same set of books pointed out the payments to the judiciary directly from the commissions bank accounts immediately prior to significant rulings and said the reality ws they were closer to 35% adrift but some clever bookkeeping had been undertaken to get it down to the maximum 2% level....)
the sooner we leave the EU and all its filth behind the better (don't get me wrong I have nothing against the people of eurpoe just the instutions that comprise the EU, as my old man said many times when I were a lad, if you stack the shit by the wall it just stinks but when you spread it across the field it can do some good, the EU is the inverse of that and it truly stinks)
