Hoping that when I return it this week a proper replacement is sent. Fingers crossed for you Bobsbeer . . . . I'd hope that if nothing else that this thread has achieved, it might demonstrate to DNA that there are considerably better ways of providing appropriate and satisfactory after sales service to their customers who have genuine issues with a purchase.

I had seen some comments about poor service on another forum, I have not used them since they were formally known as Kingz of Vapour, but thee was an acramoneious break up and then reforming as DNA .
They seemed very good as KOV and I had around 3-4 orders that were fine. Glad it's all sorted now, and I will avoid them like the plague

Does anyone know the legal position on them taking KoVs mailing list and using it without seeking the customers consent? It seems ultra dodgy to me, I had even unsubscribed from KoV before the break up and started getting DNAVapes mail. joeten posted a link to a bunch of smilies yesterday and there was on that seem applicable to this cowboy outfit

I was not thinking of junk mail rather about the Data Protection Act type of legislation, we have to give our consent for our details to be shared with 3rd parties everywhere on the web when we sign up to anything. A company I worked in in 99 bought out another company and emailed their entire mailing list requesting permission to move their subscriptions to the parent company and had to bin those who didn't reply. ETA I just use PayPal with KoV, but wonder if either company held credit card info and if that got taken by DNAVapes.

Well then your problem would be with KoV not DNAVapes, KoV are the ones you supplied your email to and the ones who failed to protect your information.

If I personally or one of the other Directors where to set up another business in the same category ie. Vaping/E-Cigs we could then use the VE database for the purpose of letting the ex VE customers know. What I couldn't and wouldn't do is sell the database to another vendor and most definitely not to a business in a non related industry. I have retained our database personally for this reason only, but you would be surprised by the number of emails I've had asking to buy it (some with a tidy sum attached). So I think its all about whether it's still relative to the subscriber and that no commercial gain has been made by the person/company that originally held the subscription. Jason

Ok folks here's the situation . . . . DNA Vapes have been, as you would expect, checking in on this thread. Consequently, I have just received a PM from a most distressed gill2009 - I'm bloody savage incidentally that they have caused this degree of upset to the most decent of lady's whose only ' crime ' was to receive a defective piece of equipment from them, then not unnaturally hope for it to be replaced without hassle and at no charge to herself. Anyhow, they have been emailing Gill who has answered every query(?!) that they have had . . . . . and promised to reimburse her for the two lots of return postage, requesting her PP email - which she has provided. As yet, no refund has been forthcoming. Is it really that difficult DNA Vapes considering the abysmal after care service you've provided to issue a refund promptly and with a good grace without causing further grief??? I have asked our Gill to stay away from this thread now, she can and will update me of the situation - I will then relay the information on to you all. This thread might get locked at Gill's request - if that does happen, I will still continue to update it until this issue is satisfactorily resolved as it ought to have been in the first instance - minus this completely unnecessary behaviour from a Vendor. I'll take this opportunity to thank you all for your words of support on this thread, they have been very much appreciated. Mandy

The only question they should be asking is "where do we send the refund?"

Personally,I think gill2009 should be given a full refund of all costs,a token of good will and have the refurb written off on her behalf. What a pathetic way to treat a client (no matter if she was the one who paid or not). And gill2009 , open and use it moi petite modèle français de incontinence, if you want to give you hassle, I'm sure our AAEC based lawyers (IE all of us) will give them a dose of STFU therapy.

Dear All . . . . I can now report that gill2009 has indeed received a refund for the Return Postage costs involved in this sorry shambles. Much to her great relief she can now put this needless saga behind her. Thank you once again everyone.
