There's always the free Click & Collect service Boots offer on their VG for anyone who does have problems tracking it down locally. Orders are sent in a discreet cardboard box. www.boots.com/en/Value-Health-Glycerin-B-P-200ml_852418/Like phatfil, I don't dilute my VG down in the summer months as when the weather is warmer I don't find it needs it . . . . during the cooler weather, then it's less than 10% that I add. Although the percentage of flavouring used also makes a difference - most that I use are 20% and upwards.

Perhaps someone could enlighten me to the practise of using deionized, filtered or purified water as a dilutlant? The minerals contained in water would surely be left as residue on the coil/wick after the e-liquid is vaporized. Do any of the minerals or additives involved actually reach our lungs? My only major worry would be chlorine and Florine, as most other chemicals in water (sodium, potassium etc along with most salts would be deposited as solid masses upon vapourisation.

Thanks for your input guys. I've heard and read all about distilled v deionised and wasn't truly happy with either, so I ordered some purified water which I collected today for a couple of quid for 2 litres. I normally use AG but for £1.45 for 200ml Boots VG, I couldn't resist (every little helps).

De-ionised, filtered water aren't actually recommended thatguy . . . . it's possible to make your own distilled water at home, there are a number of video's on Youtube explaining the ' how to '. Personally if I do dilute with water instead of vodka, then I just use boiled and cooled tap water - after 36 years smoking, should there be a few microbes they won't be any worse than what I put into my lungs for all that time. Ggggrrr just checked that link and could have saved another 7p a bottle Lol . . . . it's a handy option if you want to buy any quantity, your local Boots doesn't stock it or makes hard work out of buying it - which some do. The saving is an added bonus.

I'm looking to thin my Boots VG with some Purified water from Tesco. As its not always available, I managed to clear the shelf of VG in boots today. I now want to dilute it a bit as its super thick and I want to try some high VG mixes, what percentage do you guys use? Most AG has around 10%-15% distilled water - this added water thins the VG down to a more workable level. However If you wish to avoid adding any water you can just warming the VG up - this will also make it far more workable. You might find that this thicker finished high VG e-liquid is best suited for dripping or high flow devices !
