Kids(whatever) will see it in the street and elsewhere. I rarely smoked in the street and can't be bothered pulling a MOD brick out in a street either. Councils should keep to their prime remit of looking after the publicly financed estates they are charged with. Too many hand wringers in councils I think...and wasting our taxes doing it.

The bad stuff in streets like booze and bad mouth needs a crackdown by the police...and constantly. Bad stuff is not smoke/vape...ing.

It makes me spit! Too much nanny state against smokers and vapers. Indoor public places, yes to a point. I still don't agree with no smoking in pubs, never have agreed, never will. But open air? Outside? Come on, where's the sense?
Oh and it's to discourage kids from smoking? They will try it anyway, that's what kids do ! All the way from year dot, children have done what they have been told not to just to try it and see.
