The ones I've tried on the Riva batteries have worked ok, but I prefer them on the Joyetech.
I think it's partly because of the 4.2V from the Riva being a bit much.
Loosening them a fraction on the battery does improve the draw as well.
I haven't heard of many of the V2 Visions cracking, unless I've missed something.

All the ones I've bought developed cracks Jason even before I opened them up..Maybe not as bad as the V1 but they do go and start to sweat..
The RIVA battery connector diameter is 14mm to exactly match the tube diameter. The ego is 13mm and the battery passthrough is the same..This allows skirted cartos to draw air from the bottom whereas in the RIVA it completely seals them up and only relies on those tiny cutouts making the draw very tight.
As you said backing, them off by half a turn does free it up but you may have posi connection issues..

How long does it take before they start to crack macca ? I did read that the newer versions aren't as prone to cracking as earlier versions

I'm using a 2.5 - 2.9 ohm and find that 4.2 is still quite harsh , most pleasant is around 4v for me

I just removed two that I ordered from Healthcabin from the packaging and one has already started to crack..They are V2's with the little cone washer. The inner tube is pressed in when assembled placing stress on the walls..
It's luck of the draw really..
I use 2.2 ohm which I have rewicked on 4.2 volts all the time. They never tasted burnt to me..But I do put in a 3mm wick keeping the coil nice and wet..

I've used both sr & lr on riva style batts...ie ego basically.
The sr one didn't work well on either my LT or the ego batts. However, I'm trying a lr one on an ego & it does seem loads better overall.
I've also filled the lr one with RY4 pg juice I bought from HC, so will see what the sr one is like with pg juice.

Gotta say Hissie I'm lovin the SR with adaptor on the LT , fired it up last night and it was an odd flavour , but stuck with it and dropped my voltage to 4 and I reckon I have my sweet spot with the juice I'm using , been using it all day and the flavour is becoming more pronounced , I bought the juicy peach on th gb and first of all it tasted sour but lovin the flavour now , on my 3rd fill of the day

Hmm makes me think the SR one I've tried is a duff, which is a shame really because I had high hopes.
Tomorrow I will try the other SR one I have & see what happens.
If no improvement, it'll be looking like I'll be sticking with the LR ones.

I bought 4 to test storm. Two sr ones & two lr ones. No cracks or leakage yet The cracks start very small and it's very hard to see them.. They last about 2-3 weeks of regular use at the very least before the cracks start to become a problem..So still a good buy for ease of use and flavour.. I also put a SS wick in one of mine and the flavour and TH is much more enhanced..

macca m8 you love to tamper and improve things .. I'm not lazy but very busy and can't be bothered , Note to self must learn to take a break and spend time building another mod , as long as work permits

I am too clumsy to mod anything lol. I rely totally on things already being made & people like macca to do the modding work on my behalf
