The cracks start very small and it's very hard to see them.. They last about 2-3 weeks of regular use at the very least before the cracks start to become a problem..So still a good buy for ease of use and flavour.. I have had 2 coloured ones on the go for nearly 2 weeks and (touchwood) no cracks! It may be the plastic that they use in the couloured ones is a bit more flexible? but definately no cracks! And I do carry them connected to a Riva and Ego battery in my pocket.

I bought 4 to test storm. Two sr ones & two lr ones. No cracks or leakage yet The cracks start very small and it's very hard to see them.. They last about 2-3 weeks of regular use at the very least before the cracks start to become a problem..So still a good buy for ease of use and flavour.. I also put a SS wick in one of mine and the flavour and TH is much more enhanced.. LOL, I put an SS wick in one of mine, wound a 1.7ohm coil and it worked a dream Juice lasted 20mins till empty Re-wicked with a normal set up

LOL..The SS wick gobbles juice like nobody's business.. That's where the vapour and throat hit comes from I guess.. It does get better after the first time though once the wick is saturated..

That was with a saturated wick I knew what would happen though, I've made many SS wicks but I just felt like putting one in a vision to see how it would perform;) Expensively is the answer to that

I do my coils at 2.2 and they last me about 3-4 hours at about 4 -4.2 volts on the battery passthrough.. Can't vape them higher than that..It gets too intense..I tried at regulated 4.5 on my box or rather rubber band and tape mod and it blew my eyes out..

How to dismantle the V2s? I just got some from the groupbuy. Anyone tried yet? Hope the bottom ring isn't glued.

Put a cut off condom or double up a thick rubber band on the compression ring and get a pipe wrench on it and twist back and forth whilst pulling out..You only need to do this for the first time.. Obviously you need to apply just the right amount of force or you'll crack the plastic, so a level of delicate touch is called for.. So some lateral thinking like this helps:

Thank you. (Edit: And thanks Macca, I will use my imagination ) @perps That's the same method I've been using, but it's an earlier model (you can tell because the metal cap is flat, while the newer ones have a little tube thing sitting on top of the central column). So the latest ones have a slightly different design, and I was wondering if they'd been changed in other ways to make them more difficult to dismantle.(Edit: no surprise that they have!) I will probably find out when I try to take one apart. Just wondering really. However, for dry burning I plan to try using forceps to remove the cap, without dismantling. It's only for when I rewick, assuming the body hasn't cracked in the meantime. Why is nothing ever simple?

It's pointless trying to remove the cap..There isn't enough space/clearance in there for you to maneuver it out and the washer is bigger than the mouthpiece end threaded ring.
You can see the coil easily even with the mouthpiece fitted for a dry burn. You just need to hold it at the right angle. Vape it dry till you start getting dry hits and keep burning till you achieve dry burn and then rinse.

I forgot to dry burn & just went ahead & rinsed them under the hot tap. Will I have broken them? If not how long do they take to dry out?

It won't be broken hissie. Dry burning is not a prerequisite to rinsing. I lay mine on top of the CH boiler and they dry in an hour

I forgot to dry burn & just went ahead & rinsed them under the hot tap. Will I have broken them? If not how long do they take to dry out? There is no need to dry burn them every time. Rinsing under a hot tap is fine and it will not be broken. I only dry burn when the vapour production drops off which is normally after 4-5 refills or I am changing flavours from a juice I don't like.. Many a time I just vape through flavour changes without even rinsing..I never bother drying them out either...
