Daft question number 2 for today (believe me I'm having a verrrrry muddle headed day today) - I have virtually switched over to using all Kanger subtanks from my protanks with kanger OCC and VOCC stock coils, at the moment all the eliquid I have been using in the subtanks is at least 75/25 vg/pg or 80/20 vg/pg with 0.05 coils. However I have kept 2 protanks on the go to use with liquids I have at 60/40 & 70/30 pg/vg until they are all used up.
I ordered some VOCC coils from an amazon seller which arrived today and included with the coils was an offer for me to be able to get 3 x 10ml eliquid for 99p delivered and I'm tempted to take them up on the deal however they only sell 50/50 mix and I really don't want to buy any more liquid unless I can use it in the subtank. So will the lighter vg juices be OK in the subtank or are they likely to leak like a sieve? And with a 50/50 mix would I be better using a 1.2 coil rather than sub-ohming?

i use 50/50 for sub ohm without any leaks, i use the Aspire Cleito using 0.4 coil or Aspire Triton 2 with the 0.5 coil at around 40 watts, it's a better flavour using 50/50 than the 70/30 mix, i'm not into cloud chasing anyway.. i think the answer is suck it and see, it's a personal choice, much the same as what tank you use what flavours you prefer..

I have had 100% PG in them and they didn't leak, 1.2 & 0.5 ohm plus the rebuildable deck.

It takes me back when I joined this forum there were several threads a day starting with a self confessed "stupid question" and then lot of members replying "there are no stupid questions". IMO that is a core value of this forum we should hold on to.

In another forum we have the same basic principle, and the only stupid question is the one not asked. Of course some of the questions I might ask in response might be a bit silly.

If you don't get leaks with 80% vg, you won't get leaks with 80% pg snow. It's the wick method that causes leaks. I have, occasionally, had leaks from a subtank, but it was a lazy wick that caused it. HTH

I have to run 70%PG/30%VG in my subtanks, as the only VG I can get here tastes awful at higher %s. No leaks, and wicks very well. HTHs.

As discussed above, no such thing!! I agree with tim, in principle the wicking holds the key to leakage. It has to be worth a go, and at the expense of a few mm of cotton. One you find a solution regarding the amount of cotton to use, vape on, the Subtanks are very forgiving and will happily cope with most mixes. EDIT: Sorry, just re-read the thread (must get into the habit of doing this a bit more often!), and realised that you are using stock coils. These should also work fine - try it and see!
