Rat warehouse have some lovely things don't they I make all my own pouches and hammocks for my boys. I use polar fleece so no claws get stuck and attach to the cage with shoelaces from the pound shop that way they can destroy as many of them as they want and it only costs me pennies to make another lol I call mine 'my boys' too and they truly mean the world to me I would do absolutely anything for them. A few months before Chaos was put to sleep he had a tumour removed from his side and it cost me £150 and I had people telling me are you daft it's 'just a rat' but they really don't understand, to them it may be 'just a rat' but to me they are just as important as members of my family. I bought the scuttling gourmet book from amazon, not sure if a library would have a copy. If you have joined the fancy rats forum you could put a wanted ad in the marketplace to see if anyone has a copy they no longer want/need That's a good idea with feeding, I generally give them just enough to last them 20 hours and I scatter it throughout their cardboard bedding so they have to look for it (keeps them occupied and stops them getting overweight) Glad I could be of some help

My 4 gerbils we're all males. I called them all Sergei as I couldn't tell one from the other lol. One of them had a tumour on his tummy which cost a fortune to have it removed. Although he survived the op, old age got the better of him & he passed away about a month later

Thanks queenie.
I adopted them from Pets at Home. They were about 2 years old when I got them. Unfortunatly, they weren't used to being handled, as the people who had them before me never bothered with them.
To be honest they never got used to humans & lived in their own little world. Totally loved them to bits & was absolutely gutted when they died. Was horrible, they went one by one over about 3 months.

A piccie of my furry soul mate. now she is a real beauty blues are one of my favourite colour cats now if I could have a blue Maine coon I would be in seventh heaven but the mr won't let me have anymore cats and the cat babies wouldn't be too happy with a new comer now here is jessy discussed by our latest addition If I don't look it might go away lol Attachments:

Aww the gerbils are adorable Hissie, so sorry you lost them in such a horrible way I honestly felt like it was the beginning of the end when I had Chaos put to sleep in February and I thought the others would follow one by one but so far they are healthy. Typhon has a head tilt from a past ear infection but it doesn't bother him, he does look funny though The cats are beautiful too! I would love a Maine coon but with 2 dogs and 5 rats I think we have enough on our plate for now lol

Eppie was exactly the same. She didn't have time for humans or other animals lol.
She was the furry version of a misanthrope.
