That's just what I thought Ratfinkz. I knew it wasn't going to get better. I didn't want to put him through more suffering...
Didn't want him out of pain for a day or two or a few days only to be in agony later.
And the poor boy was in agony....
Bob (his cagemate) and I have been saved by classic fm..
And yes Jemima in his prime he was a very handsome boy. Ginger and white. Always upto mischief and then trying to deny it LOL

Think Bob is now sick. He's 2 months under 3 so not a young rattie.....Just cleaned him out trying to make him better and like he has porphyrin on his nose and what not. Done everything but he's even more jumpy than normal and like is just sitting at the bottom of his cage making a nest for himself.... Hope he picks up....can you imagine? A rattie dying this time of year Jane

Aww Jane am sorry to hear this. That's a good age for a rat though. Does he live alone? Am wondering if maybe he's stressed from lack of a friend? Is he rattly chested at all?

Nope he's fine today....eating like an absolute hoover. His cagemate died in september (milo) and I thought he was too old to get a new cage mate... Boy he had me worried. jane

Aww glad to hear he's doing well again :-) I agree he's too young for a baby cage mate but if you could find another laid back adult in rescue anywhere it may well do him good. If you want to look into this let me know I know of a few rat rescue places. I'd recommend getting two though so when he passes the others will still have company XXX
