For some reason it isn't producing the great vape I got when it was new. The lights and display also flash when I am putting batteries in and sometimes when i hit the on/off button. I have it about 18 months and also the efest 18650 batteries (2000mah) from the same time. Do you think I am ready for some new batteries or will the vtr only have a certain lifespan. It's been brilliant up until a couple of weeks ago. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

yes batteries will only have a life span. I used to have a VTR, but at 15w, they are very low powered. Great at the time, but things have moved on so much for the best. I would look at a decent upgrade now.

If you're happy with the VTR then I think some new batteries will sort it out. Nothing to lose by getting some as if you do want to upgrade at a later stage you can just buy a mod that uses the same size batteries

Clean the battery contacts as they can get muck on them and also the little spring plunger contact for the battery door flap as well as where it contacts the flap. Might help.

As yahoo2 said, looks like the vaping world's moved on when i wasnt looking lol I think you might . . . . as I remember a number of Vendors selling off their stocks very reasonably a while back. A Wanted ad wouldn't cost anything though if you really would like another one mel, never know what people have lurking in their cupboards. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/board/59/wanted

mel I have a VTR stored that didn't get much use after I bought it. I can test it to see if it's still working but have the case to somewhere, you'd be welcome to. Need to decant some old vaping kit really, so let me know. No charge, it's just sat there.

Wow Sleedale, that is a very generous offer. Let me know if it still works ok and I would be defo be interested. Of course I would be willing to pay you the going rate + postage. Thanks. I do really like my VTR, am a creature of habit, and it has kept me from the ciggies for almost two years. all the vendors I have used in the past either don't sell them anymore or have dissapeared. I have been looking at some on amazon etc but dont know if they are the real article or what and would prefer to buy from somewhere/someone reputable.
Thanks again (and Perpetua for the advice)

mel if it's working you are welcome to it, maybe postage? But no cost, it's sitting doing nowt. It'll be later tonight before I dig it out to test it, think I have a protank set up somewhere I could try it with. Bought it from myepack, so was a good one. I really do need to dig out my box of vaping 'spares in case of the apocalypse' stuff, not sure if ever use it, so not sure what tanks you use but might have a could of somethings that might work with a bit of tlc. Anyhow, will let you know either later or tomorrow.
