Hi,my SXK Kayfun Mini arrived today, and its driving me crazy.Havent managed a Vape on it yet,as I cant get the bloody screws to take hold of the wire.Bloody rounded screws.Anyone else have this problem? I read on another Forum the other cheaper version was better on the screw front,as there flat headed screws. I had exactly the same problem. It almost drove me to chuck ghe damned thing across the room. Every time I tried to tighten the screws the wire would pop out. I think I was using 0.4 and eventually succeeded with 0.32

Looking at the underside of the screws they look domed but need to be flat. Being a bit of a coiling novice I don't know what's normal to get on rebuildables.
Maybe some genuine Kayfun screws would be better.

Just a quick note to add that I have found "whisping" up the tail ends (more than usual) so they are thinned out and nice and fluffy before trimming and folding back into the juice well, has further enhanced the juice delivery and flavour for me. I have rewicked 3 tanks daily for the past 3 days this way and they all have performed perfectly. Remember this is for low watts 9-12w, I haven't tested above this. Furthermore, I found an unopened bottle of Manabush Powwow at the back of the steep cupboard on Monday. Bottled in October 2015 according to the label. Even though I am a very content DIYer now I thought I'd pop it in a KFLv3 for science. Damn it's amazing in this tank. I'm sure the 6 month steep has something to do with this, but this tank sure brings out all of the Manabush flavours perfectly. Keep an eye on that positive block moving each time you build/rewick. I see Svoe has released a new block insulator that corrects the movement issue (Creme De Vape have stock @ £4) and I'll probably grab them at some point and report back. New Insulator Pack (CremeDeVape)

Brilliant review @hondo many thanks. Update: following advice on this thread, I managed to tighten the airflow on the sxk version. There seems to have been a small number of reports on ft experiencing what I was with the airflow screw not having an inpact. So if you do happen to have an airflow on the sxk that won't tighten...When you think it cannot turn any more keep going applying a little pressure and it should continue for you to adjust to your liking I managed to tighten the draw on my SXK version by doing this, so much so the airflow screw now won't budge haha, the draw is proper tight. Still, it's more enjoyable for me now than the previous draw which was way too airy. It's that good, I've ordered a couple more.

Apply pressure to get it out as well buckowski. Don't worry it seems to back out a bit the more you use it probably due to pressure lol

I tried that Mrs m, but the whole inside came out, ended up in bits lol. I got it back together, but it interfered with the insulator, took me a while to get it sat right again. Now it's working ok, albeit a bit too tight, I'm going to leave it till the other 2 get here. Then I'll take it to bits and have another crack at loosening that little screw.

I have a V3 Mini clone (I think it's also a SXK) for some time and the airflow screw is really the biggest weakness. Can't entirely close. After reading the thread, yesterday I tried to really force the screw in with a bunch of tools, but absolutely no dice. (Even with a lot of force). Even screwed all the way in, it covers the hole only 30% or so. I like my draw extremely tight, and V3 out of the box is a total no go to me. What I did now: Stuffed aluminum foil into two of the holes of the center pin so there is only one hole. Screwed the screw in as tight as I possibly could. Inserted a steel tube from a valve I had which perfectly fit, inside the center post. Covered 2 of the outside holes of the V3 with tape And put tape over the remaining hole so it's only 25% open or so. (The same thing I did with my KF Lite V2) Don't laugh, it's still a bit too airy for me but it's ok now.

My opinion: AFTER Kayfun Lite V2 Plus (which is still my favourite for MTL), Svoemestro's claim how V3 and V5 are "great for MTL" is absolute BS. V5 is a total joke for MTL, even with the reducer kit which I have. V3 also (as mentioned above), plus the insanity with that part turning and possibly shortening out the mod when you screw it together.
In Svoemestro's defense, the Vandyvape Berserker was also praised as the greatest MTL mod, I got it and it's the most awful leaking POS I ever got.
I still haven't had anything better than my few old Kayfun Lite V2 clones.
