Are your coils hand built or pre-made & what material? coils made from Nichrome can affect some people What tanks and are they from the same manufacturer?

Another less likely possibility is non-stainless steel screws, lots of atties from FT came like this a few years ago and sometimes it can cause a metallic taste, but if it is the case I though that it was a thing of the past. if they are 3 different tanks then this is mega unlikely.
I was typing while you posted, this is not your issue.

Right, they are Kanthal and I have used those in a Triton, so that eliminates that as a problem, you are not vaping above the recommended 10-13w and burning the coils? or you could have reaction to Iron, Chromium or Aluminium, which is what Kanthal is "FeCrAl" apart from that I'm stumped, unless someone else has any ideas.

if you have some a cap full of tcp mouth rinse swilled around and spat out could reveal the problem, if the tcp gives a stinging /burning sensation then it would indicate something like a mouth ulcer and in that case everything would taste slightly metallic, I had one a few weeks ago and pretty much everything tasted vile until it went away /

When you quit smoking and start vaping your mouth amongst other things is going through a time of repair, things that havent worked for years are starting to come back to life. When i first started vaping and I had the dreaded vapers tounge I read that spicy or pickley things can reboot your taste buds. Sounds gross but I used to take a swig out the pickle onion jar, swill then spit. Works wonders for refreshing the taste buds lol. Stick with the vaping tho way better than smoking.

Long shot, but are you taking any medication or pain killers? I find that cocodimal / codeine makes everything taste muted.

Vapers tongue? Start of a cold? Dental problem? Changed your brand of teabags? Did you have a curry last night?
I go through a mehhhhh every now and then as my taste buds decide to reject every flavour I enjoy. This woefull experience is usually followed by a night of frantic re-wicking and futile juice selection.
