vaper's cough

I've been vaping for 2 years now and I do cough and bring up a white flem (sorry) after a good cough and a lot of flem I'm okay for a few days and then it repeats it's self I'm sorry for the detailed description, has anyone else got a cough through vaping, I vape a tobacco juice at 12 nic and a 60/40 p---, any ideas all you vapers , would really appreciate some advice. you could try a 70vg 30pg mix, as of gives the throat hit

Also what setup you on? As you may need to lower nic level

Never had a cough since giving up fags , apart from the first couple of weeks clearing the shite out of my lungs from smoking.

Is it a cough you've developed since vaping, or have you always had a cough ( like many of us ex-smokers did ) jamesrd . . . . the higher VG ratio you go, then there's more likelihood of developing a phlegmy cough I find.

I'm also going to suggest a trip to the Doctor's might be an idea. Just to check that there are no other reasons for it.

I usually find that i need to drop my VG level in the summer - i can be prone to Hayfever and i'll be more phlegmy the higher the VG ratio gets.
I also did an experiment a couple of years ago and found that, in the summer at least, if i vape 40% VG or below, that i have a clearer complexion compared to my usual 60% VG - did a before and after for about a month with pics on UKV

Vaping helps get rid of Plooks/Zits/Pimples/Blotchy Phizzog Shock Horror !!!!! . This must not get out or the ANTZ will claim this will encourage adolescents to vape. We must think of the Cheeldren.

I tend to get a build-up of phlegm every few weeks. I don't suffer with a cough but it just pours out of my nose like there's no tomorrow, and unless I have some tissues handy it can be quite embarrassing Luckily most of the time it tends to pour out when I'm laying down in bed so I always have a loo roll by the side of the bed due to the amount that comes out of my nose. Need reams of the stuff when it does happen

I use very high VG, the only PG is in the flavourings I use. I have an intolerance to PG so I have to have high VG juice.

Oh and by the way, this has only started happening since using subtanks - when I was using pro-tanks & iclears I didn't suffer with this phlegm problem at all.

I've never had a cough through vaping.
I started ate 70pg years ago but now I don't feel the need for big throat hit I use max vg for all my mixes.
So far no problems at all.
On cigs I used to cough in the mornings until I was heaving
Not good
Again as above I'd like to know what set-up you are using?

I'm Same as perpetua says high vg and deserts gives me a bit of phlegm.

To Clarify

At the time i was vaping 80/20 VG/PG and had noticed that my complexion was 'greasy'. So after a ponder, and checking me diet and water consumption, wondered if it was the exhaled VG in the vape (and thereby on me face) that was having an effect. So took some selfies, and changed me DIY juice to 20/80 VG/PG instead - and took selfies every day for 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks, me complexion was noticeably less 'greasy' - with less 'blotchyness' in general.

So Vaping high levels of VG in the warmer weather might have actually been generating zits - switching to high PG just reduced it back to a more normal level.

I have a bad cough at the moment that can get so bad that i am wretching and bring
up a bit of sick. It started about 4 months ago when i had the cold, the cold disappeared
but the cough remained too lazy to go to doctors. I have just cut my nic from 12 to 6mg
but it is not making much of a difference 50/50 ratio like i have always used.

Yes that doesn't seem right.
I had some kind of lung infection not so long ago and it lasted like nearly 2 months.I couldn't stop coughing and thought it could be the vaping until others caught it who don't vape.
I must have been vaping around 4.5 years and I can't point one health issue to it at all.

@tmfkatubthumper - get yourself to a GP as soon as possible. If you have kicked the fags into touch, it would be silly not to have this cough checked out by someone who knows what they are looking at, especially if you have earned yourself a few more years on this planet
