Yes.. somebody said 'smoker's cough' (?) to me the other day. I was not impressed.

I little 'stuff' from the VG would be understandable.

I hack first thing in the morning like a smoker and blame it on the chain vaping in the evenings so get a really tight chest. My favourite mixes are mostly PA Strawberry variations but unfortunately it doesn't like me at all and makes me wheeze like a good-un, right pain in the butt for my milkshake fix every night.

I've had a rotten cold & chesty cough for a couple of weeks now, first actual cold though since I started vaping although to be fair I never really suffered from colds much anyway when I smoked, put that down to how much I am outside with the ponies and steering clear of manky people at work however I have just moved round in the office and am now sitting with people who perpetually have colds so it was inevitable that it would transfer to me.

So after that drawn out story, yes I do cough every morning, proper phlegmy cough but I don't worry about it as it isn't as bad as when I smoked.

thanks for all your replies and advice, jtc  I use a VIP Skystorm AM30, I vape tobacco juice at 12 nic at 60pg/40vg

You could try using an eliquid with a higher VG ratio jamesrd, that would be kinder on your throat - though the higher VG content will also increase the possibility of phelgm production.

It's a question of trial and error to see what balance might suit you, as we're all so very different in our tolerances.


( And, I do still think it worth you seeing your GP as part of the elimination process. )

Just an update managed to get an appointment today and he put me on antibiotics
says i have chest infection and my airwaves are kind of restricted might need a steroid.
To make another appointment next week if things dont improve.

good to hear you got seen to, hope it improves rapidly now you've been given antibiotics, oh and buy some hayfever tablets (if you don't already have some) since chest infections can sometimes be viral and they give a nasty reaction to antibiotics which the hayfever meds stop you from raking your skin off...

That was worth the effort of going @tmfkatubthumper.
I'm glad you've been given a diagnosis and some treatment . . . . hopefully that cough of yours will soon be a thing of the past!

Thinking about it erik514 yes I used to get itchy arms when I vaped a lot of high pg but so far I haven't noticed anything now I'm using max vg.
Only my concentrates and nic are pg based.
jamesrd I would definitely try different juices as it might be the VIP stuff that your body doesn't like

but there's a chesty bug going round these parts.

My first stop - reduce chest irritating/high throat hit dilutents
My second step - homemade cough syrup (can't take anything else due to other stuff) - think it's called Grandma Barb's - works on sore throats too

Who knows what I mixed the other day but the bottle was overflowing (not normal) - could well be too much PG or anything apart from nic causing me to cough like a trouper

All I know is - all better now = well asides from my mind LOL (nowt new there)
