Keep the 2.8ohm heads vcmazz - they might come in handy one day and now place a fast tech order for 50 1.8ohm socc heads (see links on this thread) - that's all you have to do! Well I have now indeed ordered 50 from Fast Tech. But noticed they do a 1.5 ohm version and went for those. Hopefully not a mistake?

If your battery doesn't like them, you could pick up a nice battery that would work with them, or a small mod of some sort. If you have placed the order but it's "in progress" it might be worth cancelling/changing the order. Perhaps worth waiting for more thoughts here.

yeah grab a variable power mod if you don't already have one, istick 30w or evic mini or subox or whatever takes your fancy (you don't need anything expensive if you don't want to spend loads) and then it can change power depednign on what coil you use, and possibly if you were to transition to sub ohm in the future it would still work great as well. I started on an ego /2.2ohm clero kit, advanced to istick 30 + mini nautilus starting at 2ohm and running down to 1ohm before moving on to sub ohm kit all of which allowed me to drop from 24mg nic down to 3mg e-juice without constantly dreaming of smoking, now I plan on continuing to vape @3mg indefinitely and hopefully future regulations wont endanger that

Managed to cancel the order and got refunded by gift certificate, which I then used on 1.8 ohm coils so all good. Thanks for the tip off! That's the trouble with being a rookie, I wouldn't have known the 1.5 ohm ones might not work on my batteries. Glad I checked!

You don't have to use the 2.8 ohm coils, keep hold of them and when I come to redo them I'll do them at the strength you require vcmazz

Hi all, Now I know I'm a bit of a dinosaur but I'm still using cartomisers and reckon it's time to move on. Just had to say that this made me smile, I've been back on cartomisers after struggling with an AeroTank mini and now reconsidering *again*.

Hi all, me again, Question for you technical folk, I've been getting on great with my EVODs, but just lately I THOUGHT I'd been having trouble with dud coils. But it was all becoming too much of a coincidence and so today when I tried two coils and they both seemed dud (hard to draw and very little hit), I tried them in a spare EVOD clearo that I remembered buying and ... hey presto! This surprised me because apart from the coil, I didn't think there was anything in a clearo that can go wrong. So any idea what's happening? Ta.

I'm not familiar with the Evod but assuming that your coils are OK, I imagine the cause of the tight draw and lack of vapour is down to a problem with lack of airflow.

A bit of a jab through the air holes with a pin seems to have done the trick. It really is rather good here isn't it?
