From what i understand - it can still be sold - but in 10ml bottles at a maximum of 20mg (more realistically 18mg to allow for error) - so it can be sold but the new regs will distinctly limit it's cost effectiveness As i live outside the UK/EU i haven't been paying as much attention as i probably should be - sure someone more knowledgeable will post accurate info dreckly

You/ the public will be able to openly purchase nicotine base up till the end of the sell off period - May 2017 After May 2017 you will still be able to purchase unflavoured nicotine base but the TPD will restricted all sales to the public of "nicotine containing liquids" to bottles no larger than 10ml and no stronger than 20mg*
*chances are it will be 18mg

At that point additional packaging and handling costs emerge including costs for leaflets etc and transfer of costs for notifications to the UK prohibition authority. The EU gets in there somewhere I suspect? Leaflets/Packets will have warnings on and eventually packaging may have to be big enough to get pics of gummed up lungs on I expect. A recent case in point is smoked salmon with a warning that the product contains fish. Anyway, its all done in the best possible taste.....allegedly?
