Hi all
So my new face toy (kanger Dripbox) seemed to have just stopped working the other day...no power at all I tried different batts and a new coil , but nothing. Eventually worked it out by looking down into battery tube and noticed that the small o-ring which surrounds the positive terminal had come unstuck and was hanging over the terminal stopping the connection with battery. I got some thin tweezers and managed to remove the o-ring (couldn't get it back into place thats impossible) and now box working again!! ???? But my question is: is this safe to use without that o-ring ?? I use flat tops
Thanks in advance

not really, without the insulator there's a greater likelihood of it suffering a short circuit and causing a fire or exploding, if your unable to take it apart and repair the problem (or don't know someone who can do it for you) then replacing it would be a good idea, I presume its an overseas purchase rather than a UK one so getting it replaced as faulty will be more problematic....
maybe worth asking someone in the mod makers thread if they can help you out or advise on the best thing to do

Not having seen the terminal setup its hard to say whether its safe or not. An O ring seems an odd choice of insulator for a battery connection.

I think bungle means the o-ring under the 510 pin. 18650 out first, you don't want any sparks. fold a piece of 0.5mm wire in half and put the o-ring over the open end. use that to hold the ring in place over the 510 pin. use another piece of wire or a needle to push the ring over all round.
like fitting a very small bicycle tyre

Isnt there 1 that just fits between the 510 on the box and the 1 on the atty to keep the juice in? wouldve thought that 1 was there just to stop juice working its way up the threads if you 'power squonked'.

It's the positive (copper I presume) battery connection inside the battery tube at top It was a uk purchase but stupidly didn't pick up receipt so no written proof ....

ahggg...or ah-ha
that doesn't sound good at all, you shouldn't actually need the receipt if its a warranty claim. No card or bank statement to prove purchase? I'm sure retailers can be reasonable in this regard, its not as if you are going to be hammering on their door screaming for a refund?
