Yesterday at the Beatson (Scotland's foremost cancer hospital)I watched an elderly guy in PJs and a dressing gown, standing next to drip, smoking. Perhaps if he'd have been given a vaporizer it wouldn't be so bad. Ideally hospitals could put aside some rooms for vapers, this would be a great step forward.

My wife mentioned something in the press recently that I haven't found. Man wakes from operation and who is a smoker. Asks nurse for a fag and the nurse smartly provides an e-cig. Somebody in a bed nearby went completely ballistic.
I used to watch the smokers outside Greenwich QE London on visiting my mum in there. I had the feeling they spent most of the day/eve outside? Similar at Worcester.

About time,to be honest when i worked at a hospital smokers never stopped smoking,patients used to say to security send me home and if something goes wrong i will sue the NHS,visitors would just die the smokes out and walk straight in whilst popping out for another one when security had gone.
