Hello all
Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
Just for clarification could someone advise on the state of travelling with an e-cig after May 2016.
1: I assume that all my liquid will have to be in 10ml bottles? 2: I have to buy a 2 ml tank for each of my e-cigs? 3: What is the travel rule for squonkers? I have one of the Kangertech squonkers and I am not sure how that works with getting through airport security. 4: Is it alright to put spare e-cigs in hold luggage as long as they don't have juice or batteries in them?
Many thanks for any help and advice that can be provided.

As far as i know all the TPD rules only apply to sales related exports/imports not personal property so you should be good with any atty you like and juice bottle size.
You shouldn't put any batteries in hold luggage and while i don't think there would be any rule about juice being in a tank in your luggage i wouldn't advise it as pressure differences could cause leaks.

1. No any size bottle will do 2. No any size tank will do 3. No problems at all 4. As Get Off My Cloud says, atties, mods and bottles of juice can go in hold luggage BUT Mods with built in batteries (LiPo) and any loose batteries (which must be in those plastic battery cases or have their contacts insulated) must be in your carry on bag, any tanks with bottom AFC with juice in are best turned upside down so that they don't leak, put in doubled ziplock bags just in case they do.

Thanks for the replies and useful to know. I had not realised it only applied to sales related exports/imports. I do tend to put everying in the ziplocks but have never put batteries and juice in the hold. I can now put all those 10ml bottles aways

well worth checking the destination countries rules though, some places have totally banned vaping and in some parts of the world with rather draconian sanctions for users ......

It's worth noting that airlines won't allow you to have ANY liquids in bottles over 100ml

Having been stateside last month I had a couple of bottles of 10ml ejuice in the clear bag and just unscrewed the ecig. Coming back I had got some goodies from Good Life while out there so I just stuck them in the checked baggage. No issues at all with bottle sizes if it's checked in. I did forget to unscrew the atty from my Kbox on the way back and *ahem* did get a funny look from Mr TSA as it went through the scanner! And of course my bag got checked! YAY! But the chap was nice and actually asked where I got my ejuice from had to disappoint him and say that the bottles in my carry on were Heisenberg from the UK!
Oh and don't bother buying a fancy zip up clear bag like I did... On the way out at Manchester I had to quickly swap everything from that to the little plastic bags they were giving out! No idea why but it was a pain in the **** and I wasn't the only one caught out. Check with your airline but in that bag is meant to be max 1Litre and no bottle bigger than 100ml.

Thanks to the additional replies. I am only traveling out to the Canaries on my next trip but the info on USA is goos as will be out there later in the year. I tend to use the normal 1p ziplock bags and have never had an issue but I fly out of Heathrow or Gatwick. Will check with them anyway just in case.
