Couple of weeks you might be able to add vaping to that list @broadblaster, after the Lords have their say. Last month it was bad for you but this month after a few truths are are told, it's the best thing since the cow was invented.

I try and live my life with a mindset of "anything in moderation".
Yesterday i ate and drunk alot of junk food/drink...so today is a healthy day with lots of water.

I'm astonished at the amount of people just in this thread that get all their moisture from fizzy drinks, diet or not. It's worrying! I'm astonished that you find it worrying how much and what, other people drink.Forgive me for caring about others.

Drinking a set amount of water per day is simply not necessary. A massive myth has built up around the "8 glasses a day" campaign. Drink when you're thirsty doesn't sound as jazzy, but it's the truth. Kidney stones can only be down to fluid intake if that intake is extremely low. People who live in the most arid areas on earth suffer no more health problems than we do. Most fluid intake is habitual. I banned those "look at me I'm a health freak" water bottles from my company meetings on safety grounds, because they enrage me. A bit hypocritical as I swallow about ten cups of coffee a day. Or more. So for those worried about their lack of water - don't be. It's all smoke and mirrors (bollocks substitute).

Plus that isn't true either. Your urine is the best indicator of hydration. I can not feel thirsty but still have yellowy urine meaning I'm dehydrated. Your piss should be clear or a very pale yellow.

Many, many years ago... I'm talking the 70s... my boss used to take his 'management team' to a beautiful country pub just outside Bristol for 3+ hour lunches/meetings. I once had the temerity to say that I had to get back to the office, and he said... 'If I am getting pi**ed, so are you, and who signs your expenses? Next round!' Happy, happy days.

Raffles If ONLY You'd circulated this story to the Nation's Career Officers at the time!!!! Very UN-PC by today's standards, but we'd work our 'socks off' for him. Also explains why those involved (including myself) are alcoholics now!
