Plus that isn't true either. Your urine is the best indicator of hydration. I can not feel thirsty but still have yellowy urine meaning I'm dehydrated. Your piss should be clear or a very pale yellow. keep on inspecting your urine if it makes you happy. You can get a colour chart from the urban myth shop. However, repeating rubbish like this shows a lack of education. The only wrong colour for urine is red. Any shade of green is natural.

Or you could read peer reviewed studies about it and then maybe you'll learn that drinking 10 cups of coffee a day probably isn't good for you.

Do stop it you two . . . . or I shall be forced to knock your heads together, or worse! Which I'd probably quite enjoy. Like much in this life, it's down to an individual to chose their own path as to what they do or don't . . . . as long as it works for them. Live and let live eh?

I joined this forum at the same time I started vaping - about 4 years ago. When I started vaping I kept reading that I should drink more liquids as vaping could lead to dehydration, but I didn't bother as I felt fine with my three of four cups of tea per day. Last year however, I decided to up my liquid intake by drinking approx. 2 litres of water per day. A couple of months later I had to go for a blood test (can't remember why) but the results of the blood test showed that my potassium and sodium levels were low. Doctor told me to come back for another blood test one month later and suggested that if they were still low I would need to go for an X-ray to see why this was the case. On mentioning this to a neighbour, who happens to be a pharmacist, he straight away asked if I was drinking more water than I usually did, and I told him I was. To cut a long story short, I stopped my 2 litres of water per day and my next blood test was fine. It seems that some people need to drink more and some don't.

That is very interesting daves.
I watched something not long ago about hydration. The outcome of the program was we should be listening to our bodies...if your thirsty, drink! Dont drink for the sake of drinking as it can upset your nutrition levels etc.

I drink about 2-3 litres a day, though I add tea or coffee, some sugar and milk. Oh and I heat it up.
Raw water? Like out the toilet? Nah.

I personally quite like the hallucinogenic effects of not drinking enough. But that's just me.
Oh.... look at that... it's a ship sailing up the high street.....

I drink loads and loads of water. Doctor said great. I then added that it had a bit of hops and barley plus a shed load of alcohol added. Doctor said not so great.

I seem to drink way more water since I started vaping. I don't drink more on purpose - it just makes me thirsty.

Before I started vaping I had already read I ought be prepared to drink more as it'll tend to "dry me out". I found that to be the case - especially the dry mouth and throat. Especially with the high PG my first lot of juices came in. And especially thro summer. But as to amounts? NFI.

I think it depends on how much you vape, plus certain liquids seem to make me thirstier than others. I'm not a very heavy vaper. I always drink at least 4 cups of tea a day and in addition to that, I keep a glass of water on hand and have 4 or 5 mouthfuls about 5 times each day. Most of the juice I use is 6mg and high PG. I've noticed anything "thicker" like treacle or toffee tends to make me drink slightly more water but as with everything it's best to listen to your own body and drink accordingly.
