have to admit ss is a strange/new concept for me
have been playing with both fused and norm claptons in the vcmt 2x 0.3 ss with 0.2 kanthal is the next to try or is it going to be the 2x 0.5 ss with 0.2 kanth
have ben using 2x 0.5 kanth wrapped in 0.2 kanth and its just nuts(75 watts up to 150 just to see if it/I could and we can lol)
I think I'm right in saying you use 317L ss the same way as kanth ie touching coils, dry burn and get it glowing evenly when you 1st build

I also have the fused 0.3 ss in the kayfun mini v3 and I was surprised by how little power was needed to get it to work well


the only prob with claptons is how fast you use your thin wire

enjay will take a picture of the bag once I get back home today I would say that the bag colour is more teal then blue or green. It is their low resistance range one.

decoy I started using SS and love how easily they ramp up. Makes me want to build massive coil with ridiculous surface area but till the rx200 arrives I have to restrain myself.
What I did notice with SS though is the when you pulse it to eliminate hot spots and then get it to glow like crazy so it's oxidised the resistance can jump from 0.5 to 0.8. Once it all good to cape it usually stays at 0.55 so just slightly higher then initially.

except that mad rabbit/g-plat/haywire stuff. you can pick up most grades of stainless or nichrome 80 & 90 for 1\5th of the price.

Which mad rabbit? One is nichrome 90 and the other is 316 stainless steel.

Not sure where to buy the N90 yet but the vape mesh company does the 316 but also the 317L which is a purer quality.

And finally if you haven't already get yourself some ball bearing fishing swivels, join about 4 together and use them to hold the wire tight while wrapping. I think the ones I got are maybe black cat or something, pretty cheap off ebay.

100w of power is 100w of power regardless of voltage 

0.18 ohms draws more amps at 100w than for example 0.4 ohms: 22A v 15A

The best ss is the 317L, you can get it from the vape mesh company for pretty cheap, it's a very pure wire. You'll want 20G too, big ass coils in something like a buddha at 200 watts lol

A friend of mine borrowed me his rx200s till friday whilst I am waiting for my rx200 to arrive and today I have put dual coil twisted 24g kanthal with 5 wraps over 3mm in it.
Came out at 0.2 ohm and vaping it at 80W... I was missing so much on the flavour field with my 50W max single batt device I am not able to understand how I will live with that device till my rx200 arrives!
Will have to grab a lot of wire and batteries next Friday on payday though as at the moment money is tight with budgeting everything to get to that point when I can afford a mortgage!
20G though sounds really thick... Don't know how I will feel about it - but probably going to order a cheeky little spool of that wire anyway  icon_shoppingm

So your purple packet mad rabbit is nichrome 90, it's getting confusing with the colours lol.

The blue one is 316 ss but there's another colour I've seen that's also N90! ????

Had a look in daylight and when fully rested and the packaging is blue - so it is indeed the 316ss - still bloody love the SS more than kanthal!
I know what I will be buying payday - batteries & wire... Lots of Wire... Claptons... Claptons everywhere!

Well I recommend the 317L and nichrome 80 myself, N80 is better for higher ohms with less wire I find. 

Both give a nice flavour though
