Vapeing, Did You Start ASAP?

When did you start vapeing? as soon as you heard about it, or saw it , or did you take some convincing to try it? Me I started as soon as I heard about it, well ordered the first kit as soon as I knew they existed. The powers that be, don't want this secret let out do they?.

I started after trying my neighbours looky likey ! Ironically I have continued and she is back on the cigs

I waited about a year I think. Read about someone having one and it seemed a bit like a gimmick and not very safe.
A year later I looked into it more carefully and found this forum, waited a week this time.

Similar to me, had a text 7 mths ago saying they saw someone using one, told me to take a look at a site named Totally Wicked, as soon as I was on that site I ordered a Tornado Tank and never looked back

In a word yes, guy in garage offered me a go on his ecig, thought it was ok but sure there would be better systems out there, did some research, bought a Skycig, realised how expensive they were and found this forum. Have not looked back since!

A friend who was quitting (but found it hard going down the levels of nictotine in patches) mentioned she'd got a cigalike through a code in the Sun or somewhere. She rated it highly, so I thought I'd have a looksee. Did a bit of research and got a cigalike with a charging case. Didn't expect anything much really - certainly not to quit, as I liked smoking so much. Quit smoking within a few days!

I had a clearsmoke cig-a-like I got from a friend over a year ago. i wasn't impressed but I got it out again in January and found that it was helping me cut down a bit.

Then I saw a post on MSE about a cheap re-fillable cig-a-like.

Then I found this forum and the rest, including my financial destitution, is history

I did some research after hearing about e-cigs , but I was determined I didn't want a poxy lookylikey , there just had to be something better , I found UKV forum and was given the same sort of advice that is given on here , got my first Joye Ego starter kit from Toby at Ivapour and within 2 weeks I had switched from 40 a day to zero , and not touched one since however much I have been tempted

I was browsing MSE and looking for some tips to give up nasties when I came across the e-cig thread on there. There was a link to an e-cig seller and to this forum, checked it out and bought a Titan mini, but found out not long later that I would need something a lot better after reading some of the threads here and ordered a Riva from Kev @ Freedomvape and not looked back since .

Hubby suddenly started to use one, i was like what on earth is that Id never heard of them lol, took me about a month before i decided to give them a go

I first heard about e-cigs in early July 2008. There was a report on the local news about a pub (in Devon I think) that was trying to encourage folks back since the smoking ban. They showed a load of folks puffing away on ciggie lookalikes ( nothing else available back then). I instantly googled them, checked out the very little info on them at the time & a few days later bought a Super-mini from Pillbox38 (Totally Wicked's Mr. cropper) on eBay.

Even though, compared to the e-cigs these days, it wasn't brilliant, I was still gobsmacked by it at the time & ever since, wanted to let as many people as possible know about e-cigs

I knew about e-cigs a year before I started using them. I thought they were a gimmick, a toy if you will.

Finally I decided to give them a try and I never looked back. I stopped smoking, two months after I started using e-cigs.
