Just noticed in my signature, that I have saved £20,000 since I stopped smoking over 6 years ago Ok, so vaping has it's costs too, but there is no way I have spent even a quarter of that on mods, batteries, tanks, coils, juice, and other little bits and bobs and I suffer from shinyitis here and there so 15k saved is fine by me. My lungs are also quite happy with their savings as well What kind of savings has everyone else made since they stopped using the stinkies?

I 'am only at 17 months and have saved £1725 and I know I have not spent even the £725 and the saving will be pretty much the same for my better half with even less spent as she is stuck on her 1.8mg and using my previous kit.

Lol Raffles Honestly though, for me it has been like winning the lottery & in many ways even better. Not just more money left at the end of the month, but feeling so much better physically & mentally

What kind of savings has everyone else made since they stopped using the stinkies? Nothing? (Probably) Then again, I might have paid a few hundred for Hypnosis or a few thousand to Nicorette. But WELL DONE to you!

My wife and i have saved just over 12k in nearly two years (30 odd fags a day for me back then, 10-15 for my wife) but i have spent going on for 3k on everything from mods, to concentrates, 4 ltrs of Nic etc, etc. Still a massive saving, but this is on a app on my mob, the one below had to be restarted hence the difference.

The health benefit totally outweighs the financial savings, but it is nice to know that money is being saved as well as long as you don't go too mad on new mods I don't have a pile of 20k sitting here next to me as the savings would have been spent on other things that I either own, or have enjoyed over the last 6 odd years or even treating myself to some of that silky smooth toilet paper More likely went on bills and fuel really but it's still money I would not have had before so that's a win in my book. My Mum did even better though, she stopped smoking the same time I did, No E-cigs, PV's just sheer will power after almost 50 years! and still going strong and I am so pleased she did

I have no idea how much I have saved. Or spent on mods, tanks, drippers, juice, mixing supplies (liquid and hardware), wire, cotton, &etc. But my health is improved. Jamaica was nice too. As is my wife's Jag. And other stuff beyond my financial ability while I killed myself. Currently saving for new teeth that smoking robbed me of. All good at the moment.

It was always the health issue for me, I did enjoy maybe 5 cigarette out of the 40 a day, the other 35 were just habit, pile a few pounds on which is my next project to slim down again, but even when smoking my weight was up and down the difference this time is I can breath when i goto gym. Vaping has changed many people life for the better.

after years of smoking and failing to give up with all the recommended quit smoking meds i decided to try and give up last Oct using E Cigs, Ohh boy! i had zero withdrawals and no desire to buy any cancer sticks, the only thing i did for the first week was look for my cigs out of habit. not only no coughing my heart out in the mornings i've saved around a grand, i would have spent more than that to rid me of smoking, the money saved is a bonus, vaping these days is more of a hobby, i enjoy building coils wicking making my own juice..

Exactly, it's a win win and that's hard to find these days.
It's just a shame as to the way things are going atm and the big boys trying to give vaping a bad reputation, or trying to have a slice of the pie to cut their losses. Tobacco companies should create their own brand and products and move into the 21st century which would show that they care about their customers with a healthier alternative. I would respect any tobacco company if they did that and they would also get some of their profits back the right way. Might still be a bad thing for vapers though but it would be a start instead of trying to ruin vaping altogether.
Time will tell I guess.

During the first couple of years of vaping I kept an exact account of what it was costing me and how much I was saving by not smoking. Over the next couple of years I kind of stopped counting but I knew what was staying in the bank account and what I could now afford to buy, so the savings were continuing and ofcourse I was naturally spending less and less on vaping as I was mixing my own and stashing away some spares.
Health wise, I have no idea, because I smoked for 49 years and any damage was done a long time ago.
I reckon that I have saved about 18K in the last 4 years, but ofcourse I have not actually saved that as I have spent it on things that I simply could not afford to buy during my smoking years. Like, a new car, a new garden, and old caravan, doing up the house, holidays, etc etc etc.
Financially I can see the material benefits that vaping has brought me. Health wise, that is more difficult, but I'm sure there are some there, somewhere.

Finance and/or Health from the Vaping perspective.
Finance, for me, is fairly easy to quantify. I worked in fairly low paid jobs most of my adult life and only earned decent money when I worked shifts or overtime. I am now living on a Pension, so any savings in my cost of living is a bonus to be enjoyed.
Health wise, well that is more difficult to quantify, but for me, it splits into 2 parts. Physical and Mental health. Physically, I probably ain't doing too good. When the rest of my body goes up the crematorium chimney, my knees and possibly in the future, my hips, will go to the local Scrap Metal Merchant. Mentally, well for about 15 years, I tried to give up smoking and although I achieved quite a few successes for a time, in the end I just could not hack it and gave up trying. My missus was not too keen on the obnoxious freak I turned into when off the fags and I was chewing that many car dashboards, we would have ended up driving a Centurion Tank.
Vaping on the other hand is a dead easy way of quitting the evil weed, but without giving up that wonderful elixir of life called Nicotine.
I am probably still consuming the equivalent of my 40 a day nicotine intake, but doing it by Vaping is just so much more satisfying and interesting.
