I don't know about everyone else but due in part to the dollar/sterling exchange rate and in part to the delivery delays and other issues such as restocking etc. associated with China, I have found myself ordering more and more from the UK at not a great deal more money. For example I ordered an Eleaf Istick Pico kit with free next day delivery from Amazon for £32.42. Fasttech via PayPal was looking £27.31 but are stating "ships in 5 days" which will in all likelihood change on day 5 to "restocking". So, an extra fiver for guaranteed next day delivery or wait at least 3 - 4 weeks and save a fiver?
Anyone else heading towards this point of view?

No doubt prices will rise as UK vendors have to compensate for the poor exchange rate at the moment as they restock. But I agree that for the moment things are more equal.

It is also a lot easier to obtain redress in the UK if things go pear shaped.

I agree with you there. There are benefits if you pay a little more.

What doesn't help Fasttech pricewise, is they are being a little naughty using the old exchange rate on the site, then at checkout, you find out the proper price you pay with the present exchange rate.

Too right striker42 ... Fasttech are still quoting around $1.50 to the £ sterling but Paypal charge at $1.28 to the £ sterling. ETA: the Paypal rate is even less than the current bank rate of $1.32 !

Yep after china post returning my package I'm certainly shopping uk from now on. Prices are close if you shop around. Tell me about it ... I have a package that has been at Guangzhou airport since 10th July and has been returned twice with the message "As Guangzhou courier service companies, security checks returned". That package must understand how Tom Hanks felt in the movie The Terminal
