OMG massive VapeFest panic this morning.

Wow what a bloody morning we have just had.
I emailed our hotel yesterday to confirm what time we could arrive. Received an email this morning saying that the booking had been cancelled as the hotel had gone into liquidation. Aaarrrggghhhh.
One phone call later and yes they are closed down and that is that.

Franki does her thing and finds that everywhere is fully booked except a cottage that is £500 for 2 nights. No bloody way.

Panicked look at Premier Inn and they have one room left a disabled room so a quick call to check it is ok we can use it being non disabled and we are now booked in at the Premier Inn.

Our VapeFest plans were nearly over before we had even started.

One good thing is we are in room 1 on the ground floor so getting back Friday night won't be too bad.

Hope everyone else who booked a hotel is also doing a final check of their status.
Cancellations, double booking etc. are very common at peak times (I used to work in hotels and many are not very competent) so it is always best to check.

Might be a good idea to name the hotel, given that they didn't tell you until you contacted them. So others may not know and turn up to be very disappointed.

In light of your trauma . . . . I've just panic checked my own booking at the Premier, just to make sure the date and booking was confirmed as I remembered it back in March.

If the staff at the Premier Inn see you at close of play on Friday night Roscopecotrain, they might just think you were kidding when you said you were non disabled.
