Not sure if this belongs here or in the mixology forum since DIYers will know exactly what's in their juice. So apologies if it's the wrong place.
Following on from a previous post I saw I was wondering what flavourings just don't agree with you? Such as a coughing fit with coconut.
I ran out of watermelon and used honeydew melon instead and I've been experiencing a real itchy face with it. Particularly round my beard area...top lip and chin.
Nothing else has changed: same mod, tank, coils, nicotine and level, same pg and vg dilutant and in the same ratios. Switched over to a Heisenblag for a day and it disappeared. Went back to my own juice today and itchy again.
Anyone had any adverse effects like this with particular flavourings?

I used to get mouth ulcers with Tasty Vapors "atomic cinnacide" e-liquid, when I first started vaping. (They cleared up whenever I stopped using this particular e-liquid)
(Having just visited their site, I see that they have "retired" this popular e-liquid over a year ago due to the high levels of cinnamon flavouring used in its production).

I tried a lot of flavours from a manufacturer that sells liquid for one pound Every one of the high vg I tried, made me cough
The rhubarb and custard has given me a life long fear of rhubarb and custard

Like Dave . . . . I can't use anything that has an ' atomic ' type cinnamon flavour in it without getting a very sore mouth and tongue - although that's a fairly well documented intolerance. tsoko had problems with all of the Flavourarts range he tried - so there's obviously ingredients in some flavourings, whether they're used in DIY or pre-made that just don't agree with us all. Which you don't of course find out until you try them.

Hmmm I haven't noticed any reactions to flavours yet but I'll definitely keep this in mind. Thanks for the heads up

Thanks for all your replies and I'm glad it's not just me.
For the record it's Capella Honeydew Melon at a mere 3%. Wonder if some ingredients react with others to give an adverse reaction.
Think I'll play with various % of honeydew to see if it happens on its own.

Wow....glad I found this post, I'm sitting here with a mouth full of ulcers, so bad that I haven't been able to eat for two days ! I never for a minute thought that vaping might be responsible for it. Trouble is I change my juice every tank...so how can I find out which one is responsible ? I hope my mouth clears up soon, I've spent about 200 quid on bonjella !!! lol
I do think that I make my juices too strong (normally 15% to 20% flavours) I will try lowering the amount to about 10% and see if that helps. Regards Dave.

Regards Dave. 15-20% is quite standard with most concentrates. Some need to be lowered though, but you need to tell us which brand you are using. EFA I mean 15-20% total concentrate mix, so, if the recipe has four flavours, the total is 15-20%
