Afternoon each,
Happy Saturday :-)
1) Temperature v Watts - My Pico does temperature control (which I understand needs a different coil) - is there is a big difference in flavour/quality using TC? As a newbie is better to stick with watts? I'm using vaping around 40w with the Pico and the "standard" coils seem to last well.
2) Guy in my local B&M was using an RX200 mod (he kindly let me have a try and the smoothness and flavour were just superb). Appreciating he has rebuildable coil thingy, would an RX200 give me an advantages (as a newbie) over my current Pico 75?
Many thanks,
Andy

Taste would be down to the RBA rather than being tc or watts or device. I vape only 1 juice across several attys and there is a distinct flavour difference across them all.

I don't do TC . . . . so not the best person to advise ghostrider1971, I simply haven't found the need for it in my little vaping world. Fans of it will no doubt give you the benefit of their experience and advice on that. The Pico is a great little device - did you ask this chappie what tank/set up he was using? As a different RTA/Tank may be all you need to get a better experience from your Pico. The Serpent Mini is a nice little tank . . . . www.fasttech.com/product/4613300-authentic-wotofo-serpent-mini-rta-rebuildable

Phtumshk/Perpetua - thank you :-) (Sorry - I don't know how to tag people!)
I'm using a Cleito with my Pico. Flavour is very good but I find the standard drip tip a bit wide and even on reduced airflow it seems quite "airy" to me.

TBH all the answers to your Q's are above To tag somebody just use a @ in front of there name but with no gap so @ ghostrider1971 with a gap becomes ghostrider1971 with no gap if that makes sense But some of us have different names to what you see so if you want to make sure you tag the right name hover your mouse over there name and it will show you what to use. like mine is shown as b road blaster but to tag me you would need to write @ broadblaster (with no gap between the @ and my name)

You can also use the button with an @ and a person on, 5th from the right above in the reply box. If you press that a text box opens and you just start typing. A list of usernames will appear, then click on the one you want.

I.m.o, TC is not that great. It serves a useful purpose to folk who run high watts & don't like the burned cotton vape when pushing the limits. Stainless Steel gives a nice vape, mind you. Vaping has got mighty complicated & personally I'm a bit cynical. A RDA built nicely beats complicated and fussy TC factory coils. Some don't even work (or the mods don't do the job properly)

put simply all the mod is just a power source and the tank is what do most of the work wattage is so you can turn it up and down and tc is just an automatic way of doing it so you don't use to much power(on the odd occasion it works)
the rx 200 is 200 watts and uses 3 batts so can run at 120 watts for as long as your pico can run at 40 watts and that's about it for the diff tbh oh and bigger tanks because the top is flat

Thanks again everyone. djs - I agree entirely - it's far too complicated for me - having just started mixing (a little better....) and then seeing all this flash kit that's about too - a bit mind boggling for me. Just dont want to feel like I'm missing out

I have fiddled about with tc so much now that ive more or less given up on it
I know lots of peps like it but I think most of them have dna chips if I was newish to vapeing and didn't have a few diff mods id prob invest in a dna 200 (thinking of a dna 75 just to give tc one last chance)
it might be worth trying a rebuilable tank or 2 like a kayfun 5 clone or griffin 22 as these are what will give you the biggest diff for the money and work well on the pico

I'm an absolute sucker for buying new gear, although I do essentially stick to what I know and what works for me It'll all still be here tomorrow when you've got better acquainted with what you currently have and are doing . . . . probably more the way new equipment gets released!! Then you'll feel better able, more knowledgeable to take the next step, if you want.
