After getting some good advice on here about buying from Fasttech See my earlier thread I placed three orders. Unfortunately one of them didn't make it, but eventually I got a refund so quite happy with the experience. I'm off on holiday for a few weeks shortly and I thought I would bang a couple more orders in and hopefully they might be on my doormat when I return I can't for the life of me remember (senior moment) whether I had to sign for the previous orders, or whether the postie just shoved the packets through the letter box. Can anyone shed any light - I will be using China Post.

If the postie can't physically get them through your door, the worst that will happen is that you are 'red-carded', and will have to pop down to your local Post Office to collect them. Don't forget to take some ID with you

Some have required signatures . . . . while others haven't in my experience oldleatherlungs, even via China Post. I think my local office errs on the picky side. Worst case scenario if you're away and any parcels do get returned to the SO - you'll have a maximum 18 calendar days to collect them from there.

For a change I'm hoping FT are slow shipping my last order. I have never had to sign for any from them, but we are away for nearly three weeks in a couple of weeks. Don't want them red carded and find out they have gone back to China.

Thanks for all your comments. I've placed a couple of orders now and because I'm away for 6 weeks I'll do as sydsut suggested and get in touch with my sorting office.

Scratch that idea - it will cost £44 for the period we are away, which is far more than the value of the orders. Royal Mail KeepsafeI'll get my son to pop round once a week to see if there are any red cards and then pick up my parcels. Thanks for all your help
