A doctor in the USA has suggested that parents should lie to our children and say that vaping is just as dangerous as smoking.  As a doctor he should be following his own guidelines and at the very least do no harm.  To suggest vaping is just as dangerous knowing it to be a lie is disgraceful.  How low do these vape hating evangelists want to stoop?  Hang him is my view in the nearest tree.  I wish vaping had been around when I started smoking.  Fortunately my child is old enough and daft enough to make up his own mind and never started smoking, but I would be the first to thrust a mod in his hand if he did.  And now for the biggie.....


This doctor is giving us some breaking news    "... Scientists are just beginning to see the dangerous effects of vaping, such as cancer ..."

The internet exposes us to extreme sh*te 24/7. And if its about any one main thing...its money. So I simply skim it for substance which in most cases is not there:

I know the internet is full of sh*t when it comes to vaping, but respected professionals from the medical profession should not telling their patients to outright lie. That is the disgraceful part, and deserves censure.

I lost it with the rank (title) of Professor pretty much when the climate crap kicked off. If he happens to be a good practitioner..well then, good! However, using the title as backup and doing what he has done is within my widening crap measuring parameters. Nobody is going to do anything about it I suspect...so he takes his profession down with him I think.

The problem is that people without knowledge will look to anyone with a string of fancy titles and think they are giving good advice. The moment he tells someone to "lie", should be the moment they know he is full of bull.

On a lighter note about the internet? Last couple of days I spent seeking a method of unbricking my Sony Xperia T phone. That was on a Sony upgrade and of which TBH I wasn't quite sure what they were doing. About 40 seconds in and it all crashed out with dumb error codes.

That smartphone was rendered a dead duck..no switch on. I assumed the bootloader had been corrupted. So I went on the hunt for the related firmware and flashtool.

After about 6 hours of website combing(mainly indian) and stupid Youtube vids(mainly indian), I came across a Brit vid that got me to the point of flashing the dead duck with the right firmware. He showed it in action and gave warning that if it didn't work it was for the bin. Well, it didn't work along with the usual shower of dumb errors.

He said only flash with the kernel file out of many others. So I flashed it with all files. The flash ran for about 15 secs and stopped without errors...ummm? So I switched it on and it booted ok. Tricky..because this thing is locked to O2

Siegel WAS NOT the person spouting the drivel - if you read his blog, he's the one calling out the John Hopkins doc for telling the lies.. Siegel is and has been on-board with vaping for quite some time now. PLease actually read the blog post before going off on one
