Had a great day thanks to you all.... Glad everyone is home safe. Thank you to Greg for all the juices and concentrates and thank you gill2009 for my present. And to end a wonderful day, my friend David took me for a lovely Indian curry and even paid for the taxi home. I'm lucky to have such good mates.

Guys, what did you think of our temporary venue?

I know it was a bit shabbier than our usual haunt but I liked it. It was nice to be able to spread out around the table and still be able to hear everyone, blow as many clouds as we liked without annoying anyone and the food was fab and such good value!

Anyone fancy switching?

  As you know, I also thought it was good...but later got to thinking about loyalty to Peter...& also, if there was a function at the Cavern...could we be guaranteed that it would be available every Saturday that we wanted?

  At least we are always welcome at the Constitution.

I liked it too it was nice to have a room to ourselves. The down side is this pub has been closed down a number of times in recent years due to lack of punters. You probably noticed that we were the only ones in the place. The other thing is if there was another booking for the function room then we would be homeless or chucked out early to accommodate them. There is no room downstairs for us.

My own feeling is that we should stick with the Constitution at least for the time being as I can't see Peter chucking us out to make way for others. If we did have to move there would always be other seating available.

By the way gill2009 it was cheaper as the measures are smaller. I only sussed that on the way out. I couldn't understand why I felt sober......

  Now that makes sense...I felt remarkably sober also
