I bought stainless steel grub screws tim and to be honest they didn't fair any better than the originals. But I must add that they came from ebay, so I'm not convinced they were stainless. Maybe just the usual ebay bullshit to sell the product. Fortunately it was only £2:50 for a bag of 10, so no great loss. Maybe better results to be had by purchasing from a proper metal fixing manufacturer. Maybe somewhere like this www.accu.co.uk/en/cup-point-set-screws/5001-SSU-M2-5-3-A2

A general question on the subject of Allen keys ... Is the size determined by measuring across 2 opposite flats?

What about grub screws Are black ones ok or is the black coating a bad thing in an atty? they should be harder. only issue with that as I see it is although they are more resistant to the socket rounding off they are also harder than the post threads.

Yup that could pose a problem. I found some ss304 that I think will fit my herakles so fingers crossed
