Ive found myself creeping back to my old kayfuns more and more.
Ive gone from wide open back to tight MTL and drifting back up a little to somewhere in between.
I only have one k5, I love it to bits. I don't really need another but would be gutted if i broke it and couldn't replace.
I haven't tried any of the clones.
I'm not really a clone type person...
But what with impending doom of TPD I think I might look at putting a few of the k5 clones in the doomsday box.
So SJMY is the go to clone atty?

lee says his SMJY just pips his SXK in build quality Tom and the SMJY is certainly favoured on the big US forums. That said, I am very happy with my SXK clones but I also have 2x SMJY's on route from Focalecig. If you go the SXK route don't buy from FT as there is concern that they are selling clones of the clone can you believe. It's more expensive, but you can get real SXK's from the UK at ProVapes at £32.99. At this point though I can't see any reason why not to grab the SMJY from focalecig other than the usual delivery delay. They give you some nice little discount codes too when you sign up if you've not ordered from them before. Q Kayfun v5 - The Best MTL Tank Ever? A - No. It's a great tank mind you. I love it. Maybe I shouldn't be vaping it on max airflow with a fat Clapton.

We have two sxk's in circulation at ours and they are running well in constant use (with the airflow restrictors) I have also got smjy one on route based on the good reviews. What I would say is stock up on spare parts. We went on holiday for a week and I managed to break all my kf5 a like tanks glass whilst away...lesson learnt!

7 days from ordering to delivery. Not bad! Haven't built them and probably won't but had a good fiddle with parts and I have to say the quality does seem pretty fantastic! Very pleased!

Mine have not even made it to the courier yet, showing as pre advice since the 23rd And that only happened after I fired off an email to find what was going on with the order

My two SMJY Kayfun 5's arrived today from Focal (18 days) so I have everything crossed that yours turn up very soon as well lee. Having stripped them both completely down I could not find any traces of machine oil at all, but I will soak them overnight just in case. First impressions are very good though. The machining and threads are top notch and have the sort of quality I'd expect from Svoe' themselves. I checked the sizes of all of the o-rings as well (as I think they are crucial) and all seven are sized to spec and appear good quality. Looking forward to trying these out tomorrow.

I ordered one of each and they arrived today. I suspect that as they are arriving en-bloc they have all been held up somewhere and released...

Bit late to the party.....but. I've had one of these for a few weeks and initially didn't like the draw or the flavour. Best MTL? Not by a mile. Best for me is the Erlkonigin. Also the Serpent Mini with closed down air is better. Had another bash, and as I hated the drip tip I stuck an ancient Kayfun tip in. Now it's there, on a par with the Serpent. Massive, but I've got it in the Envy 22. Easy to coil and wick, a bit airy, but goes with me on trips out. Bought for buttons from FT.

Well..thought id dig up this thread rather than start a new one.
My new kf5 should be with me this week sometime.
Just wanted to know if the airflow on max is bigger than a nautilus on max?
Cheers
